thoughts on how to improve passing game

My question is how is the passing game a problem now but not in games 1-3?

Been hearing this narrative bandied about and it’s puzzling to me that the passing game is a problem…

The passing scheme is the problem and the conservative play calling is the biggest problem…

We have enough skill and talent at the WR position and dare I add Lofton from TE spot to win games…

Gotta call the game with more creativity to utilize the weapons you got…

I would love to see some of the idiots in here commenting pick up a wet ball some time and throw it, so they could prove to themselves what an idiot they are.

What would help is having the full team available. Maybe I am crazy, but assuming everyone is healthy and in good standing, we should start to see plays for our game breakers. On my list would be Lofton, Lyle, Pringle, Trader and even Schott. The current 4 yards and a cloud of dusk offense won’t work every game. Having these bye weeks, will allow these tweaks.

1) No rain,
2) Faster WRs;
3) Use your checkdowns.
When the run game is cooking the play action pass should be unstoppable. After something like three first downs on the ground a good run fake on say second and 4 would be a good call.

UVA showed that hitting backs out of the back field and using short passes is something that FSU can’t deal with. It’s what we’ve been missing and it’s the blueprint to win the game along with pounding the ball through the tackles. When the safeties over compensate throw over the top.
This is exactly what I would do against them. Use Fletcher, Brown and Lyle as receivers out of the backfield, and get the ball to Lofton and Brock. That’ll force them to have to play less cover 2, which is where they excel. Dictate to them, don’t let them dictate to us.

Disagree. We can beat alot of teams running the ball but some teams are gonna force us to throw and we will need to create big plays on the outside. Also penalties force us to throw. We need to create more big plays.

They can out the fast guys on the field and or run tempo. If we looking beyond the regular season we must be able to create more big plays, in the running game as well. Pringle needs to play more as well as Lyle getting healthy.
Miami hasn’t really needed to air it out much this season because the offensive line and running game are so strong. They can just pound out 4–5 yards a carry, mix in some simple 10-yard passes, and keep moving the ball down the field.

This offense doesn’t need explosive plays every drive to be effective. And honestly, you want the team to really start peaking in November, not September. Plus, don’t forget, we’ve been missing our top running back Lyes)and one of our best receivers JoJo.

Miami makes it hard on themselves running against cover two at times by running out of condensed sets so much. Couldn’t tell you have many times through the Mario years I’ve seen a run play shut down by a corner/nickel brought into the box by a tight set.
