thoughts on how to improve passing game

I just hope OP did this so it is reminiscent of our " how do we make the run game better" threads from last year and then we finished top 5 in running efficiency.

so just wanted to start a thread/discussion on everyones thoughts on how to improve the passing offense. its clearly not where it needs to be through 4 games. any WR combos that will help create separation/bring more speed out there or anything CB or Dawson can do?
I really hope our offensive coaches are reading this thread.

Can someone with football sense explain why do we do this so much? It's infuriating sometimes.
We’re not a quick strike offense this year . We control the clock and play good defense. Though the score board may not reflect it, we’ve dominated every game so far on both sides. I’m curious to see how we look once a team scores first on us.

The QB unfiltered guy thinks some tempo will be good for Beck’s rhythm.

Otherwise get Trader healthy and get fewer rain games.

Pretty sure Coach Dawson is reading thru every post. IMHO, the passing game is situational for our opponents, based on their weaknesses defensively and personnel wise. Beck is a game manager and works within the games scheme. But being a manager doesn’t imply he’s not a very good QB. I believe that’s his nature and experience. If you throw in more factors like weather and injuries it takes more adjustments and management. I mean it’s not like Carson is some midget Smurf QB running around, tossing up a prayer and going the running game works,.. oh wait.. is that THIS week?? Go Canes🙌🏽

When did Carson Beck become a game manager? You don’t get labeled the #1 pick as a game manager or pay 4 million to a game manager.

Should throw middle screens to Lofton and the RBs and send them up the A-gap, lol

Unless Moore/Trader blossom quickly into bona fide deep threats, I think we're only going to make marginal improvements in the deep passing game. Guess you could include Marion with Moore/Trader, but I don't think it's fair to expect him to play much better than he has so far this year. Dawson will continue to scheme some WRs & TEs open down the field, Beck just needs to find them.

Little things that Beck can do, like hitting more running backs and receivers in stride on shorter passes, will go a long way towards producing more YAC and explosive plays.

I get the impression from the conversations with Dawson the announcers recount during the game that Beck had a bit of a crisis of confidence after how he played last year and the injury. Was obvious he got frustrated during the first half of the UF game, and I think his frustration boiled over and led to his reckless INT. Passing game will get better as long as Beck plays with confidence, but not to the point of being reckless.

Dawson could incorporate more plays Beck has shown he likes and executes well from UGA days. Those Bowers plays with Lofton or Bowers. Of course he needs to build to those or they will stick out like a sore thumb.

We did this TVD here also. Might have done with cam but I don’t remember it
Seems like Cam changed a lot of plays last year so we moved to the line at a faster clip. Maybe this is Beck’s preference, maybe the staff has taken back the control. My guess is the latter.

I'm getting tired of fans who want us to spread the ball and run some air raid **** at a fast pace etc etc.

We're ranked #2 in the country. Obviously whatever they're doing is working. They should just keep doing it.

We have the best offensive line in the country. Use it.

And why pass the ball when you can run the ball and get 6 yards a carry for free at absolutely zero risk?

I just want to win, I don't give a **** how pretty it looks. This team can bully ANY team in America, including any team we'll see in the playoffs. All trying to force the pass will do is get us behind schedule and kill drives.
