Thoughts from Doak

I can’t wait to watch the game back but I just got back from the stadium and this board is about what I expected. Sad, but expected.

Let me tell you what I saw. I was in section 109, dead center on the 50, surrounded by 98% fsu fans. And you know what I saw? What I ******* live for. What gives me life. Our biggest rival, in their building, absolutely hopeless. Broken. Watching reality in real time. Seeing live and in color, **** me, the Alabama game was a long time ago. Wanna know why? Cause these dudes in the 🧊 stormtrooper uniforms are better. We have no shot against these dudes. They own us.

And I can’t tell you how good that feels. This was the first road game of the year. The first night game in our biggest rivals new stadium. They had fancy lights, and cool speakers. Honestly, if I can be real for a second, that place is college football. It’s a spectacular atmosphere. And it was loud, and juiced. They took the opening kick right down our throats, we bowed up and held them to 3, and the place was electric.

And then they didn’t score a ******* point for about 2 hours. They were hopeless. Defeated. Ruined. It was 28-3, and they looked like they were headed to the electric chair. So miss me with all the 4th quarter bull****. The Wario bull****. We didn’t play Ohio state tonight. We played the “#1 offense in the county” (El oh ******* el), in their building. Our biggest rival. And we ended their season. Their natty hopes are done. Their playoff hopes are done. Their ACC hopes are done. It’s over. And we did it in their building, at night, on national TV.

Maybe I’m weird. Maybe I’m just old. I don’t know. But I will, never, ever apologize for doing what we did to them tonight. Regardless of how the 4th quarter went.

I live for nights like tonight. And this program is ******* alive. Enjoy it.
I agree. I was in section 33 in the west side line club and it was very quiet midway through second quarter. They did get loud towards the end especially when they saw the replay and didn't think they were going to get that targeting call.

I can't imagine being there. That crowd was lit. The war chant was as loud as I have ever seen on tv. After that first drive I believe it got louder? Then. By halftime they were defeated. You could see the air taken out of their sails. Yeah that 4th quarter was dicey but everything you said is 100. That is the rivalry. Take that W and lets move onto more ACC wins. I for one am enjoying this.

I said it in another post. I never question any win over a rival. There is nothing better.

On behalf of my cardiologist though, there's no reason I should have to sweat out a 28-3 lead in the 4th quarter becoming a 6 point difference with a 3rd onside kick determining whether FSU gets a chance to win the game. Let's clean this **** up, move on, finally win this conference, and hopefully get the ultimate revenge on the Bucknuts in a national championship game.

Nah bro...I heard when you think through what could happen is a result of too much estrogen in your system and not an indication of higher level grey matter.

Ya gotta take that goofy **** outta here.

🤣

Someone I work with just told me “nobody cares about the Canes”. I said, you’re from Long Island, WTF do you know about CFB,.. Hofstra? STFU We’re no#2, just kicked the s**t out of our hated rival. F **king A everyone in SOFLA cares when the Canes are good, relevant. And, we are.🙌🏽

****ibg NY’ers and their pro football obsession is laughable. These are the same people who paint their face for jets games.

there was virtually no warchant after mid way through the third quarter. when we went up 28-3, a quarter of the fans left the stadium

My thoughts are that stadium is a piece of crap. It was great to have the FSU fans shut up the entire game and basically beg for us to not berate them all night long.

When your claim to fame is your redone stadium has the second most bricks in the world in a continuous building you are a LOSER cecause no one cares.

Wait a minute, my friend. Maybe your co-worker is still upset about the vaunted Gators taking Long Island University to the wood shed.

Went as well. Them college kids and fans were ****y and talking greasy. They hit a big play early, we sputter out offensively first drive, place was electric. They’re honoring Corso so everyone is hype. And yes—a great environment for a big night game. And we handled it convincingly. Just have to finish better
Walking in the stadium they were talking ALLT OF ****.. I was confused where this confidence came from, lol.. East Texas down and out u and Kent state really had them boys feeling themselves.. I'm like ya JUST lost to UVA :ibis-roflmao-sm3:

Ya about to get this work fr..

Did the crowd exit early?
Some of the uppers started to after 28-3 but I think we needed one more score to really get it right.. we shut down operations on both sides of ball the entire 4th qtr again..

We were this close to having after party in stadium like UF.. Someone needed to make play but defense switch to bailing prevent, give up everything underneath and offense Dawson said he was scared and 1,2,3, punt offense

Thanks. Too bad that play was made. Bain should have been credited with a safety. Instead they methodically marched down the field converting 4 4th downs. So annoying that none of that should have happened.

LOL, wanna bet he had money on that game😹. Listen I spent the first 20 yrs of my life in NYC, I understand. Spent the next 25 yrs in SOFLO, at UM where I learned about real CFB, and we weren’t very good. But Friday nights at the OB was another world. Then when I moved to Ga. It was a lesson in full frontal CFB ****ery. Especially when Herschel was playing and Larry Munson on the calls.i was immersed in CFB heaven. And then my Canes came back from the dead to win 5 (6*) Nattys. And here we are. Thankful for that journey. Otherwise I would still be living in Queens painting my face for Jet games😺 GOCANES # CANESNATIONLIFER🙌🏽
