Thoughts from Doak

I posted about Doak before. I witnessed my 1st Miami game at Doak in 87 when the stands were a souped up little league erecter set all around. The parking lot was on the same level. The OB wasn't any better. I obviously have seen the money they have invested in it and still investing. I have witnessed the plumbing problems in there not so long ago. In those early days, I didn't know Burt Reynolds or Lee Corso were former students, players, much less roommates. All this leading up to the glorious belt to *** Sat. 2025 when Corso is getting some kind of dedication as a former player on the field and Burt Reynolds(Bandit) is on the jumbo tron with the Smokey and the Bandit sound track playing. My girlfriend was attending FSU in the late 80's so I have experienced Tallahassee from way back and I am still returning for games. From my parents taking me to see Smokey and the Bandit at the movie theater in the 70's, to Jumbo tribute's to the Bandit 45 years or so later in Doak. I have gotten old, but not that old. Life comes at you fast and FSU still sucks. I don't fake hate any program. Sat was 1of the best ever through 3 quarters, not so much the 4th, but it's always great walking out a victor.

If you went through 80 years of life with the name "**** ****" - billionaire or not, you probably wouldn't be the happiest little bear around.
