That is entirely inaccurate.

Contracts are for multiple years only because coaches would never accept less. No coach would ever get fire before contract end if judgment is based on the tenure. No coach can lose every game in his first 3 seasons on a five year deal and say, oh wait, I have 2 more years to get it right.

You don't need more time. He has demonstrated he can't do it under the most accommodating circumstances. It is only going to get more difficult. Less recruits to losing school. More difficult schedule, losing the team, etc.

Coaches have to win today. The only reason they get more time is because of contracts and millions spent on them...not because of fan expectations.

Unfortunately for us, coaches get more time because they have big contracts. I think most here realize he is not going anywhere because of the buyout win or lose.

So, like it or not he will have time to make change. He is really going to need to turn it around in a major way because I don't he makes it past year two with another season like this.

This is not some up and coming team that plays hard and plays with discipline but does not have the talent to win. Sure you think with that team in time the team will get better.

More time does nothing here. Beyond the contract and the business side there is no reason he should stay on another day. He should not be learning on the job. He was hired to win now not in three years.

he was hired to win in his tenure not specifically today or tomorrow. the expectations we set (partially by the talk from the summer) is an issue. the team has looked awful tho, even worse than imaginable against bad teams.

Manny raised the stakes on his own........ he over-promised and overestimated his own abilities......his own dismal results exposed him for what he actually is

From my dense perspective. CORCH Diaz deserves one more season! No mas!!!!!!!!!!!! If Miami doesn't at least win 9 regular season games in 2020. And the vast majority of Hurricane fans across the nation, knows by now, that this season is a UNEXPECTED disappointment and all that. Can Miami turn around their season? It remains to be seen, but they have a prime time game to keep the hounds of **** off their collective backsides. huh. Didn't like Manny as DC -- not Miami level. Needless to say, I thought his hire as HC was worse than Randy. Randy actually player football and play it here. Plus he was a coach on team that won title. I will admit that comparing Manny to Randy is an insult to Randy since with hindsight, he was best hire since Butch. Manny has looked like he is in over his head. We have been outcoached and have underperformed against less talented opponents. Having said all that, he has been able to get the team to show some backbone which we have lacked for years. He is learning on the job. I'm giving him a fair chance to turn it around. He was not handed the keys to a Ferrari like Coker was. We could easily be 5 - 0 with fans thinking we are better than what we are. He does need to show us some more reasons to believe and it starts Friday.

I was willing to originally give him the year until CMU and va tech happened, now I wanna him gone but the problem is do we expect the clowns at the Hecht to hire the right guy? Doubtful..
