Listening to siriusxm today they had a two hour show from CG with Gino and some other guy...

Interviewed Kaaya, Manny Diaz, Linder, Jenkins, coach Brown and MR.

A little surprised that he used the word elite, being that he's coached some truly elite backs...I guess he would know.

Music to my ears.

I think people aren sleeping on Homer a little. I also expect Walton to make a big jump this year.

If our backs reach elite status, we dont lose this year. I dont see elite from last year, but I cant judge anybody under last regime. Homer is my favorite RB on team followed by Yearby. Very interested to see Yearby after transforming his body.

L-O-L

We don't have any.

I'm not saying I agree because I don't but he would know, he did coach Melvin Gordon, Nick Chubb, Sony Michel that past 2 years. With Gordon and Chubb being elite and Michel in that next tier

Very very interested to see what they get out of Walton this year.

Isn't he a year younger than most of his classmates?

That kid is still going through physical maturation.

The blessings of Richt's incorporation of the power running game is that you make the reads very easy for the running back. That should get Mark Walton going downhill behind Marquez...who will probably be everybody's favorite player

Biggest problem I see is there's not a homerun threat out of the backfield. One of those guys that makes the defense nervous everytime their in the game. Until proven otherwise Gus is what he is. Yearby and Walton can both do some good things but neither are the game breaker that would make this offense truly dangerous.

Lol elite backs are avg when they run behind tubs of lard! I am pretty sure its still consider a team sport.

I don't even think Kansas fans have such a low opinion of their own player's as I've seen with some Canes fans...

Yall mutha****as be talking about our boys like we're MEAC team or something, smh.

Yeah some of these mfs are crazy,. In this case none of our running backs have elite speed but they have traits to be all purpose backs.

If Yearby and Walton were at any Power 5 schools. Miami fans would be calling them elite.

I don't necessarily think they're "Elite" either, by my overall point is more so just people always immediately talking down on our own guys.
I think Walton, Yearby & Homer can all be great backs, maybe not "Elite" but at least one tier below it.

Also, Speed isn't the only measure of an Elite back, there's plenty of RB's in CFB that are fast as **** but can't do sh*t else but run fast straight forward as long as they have a 5 yard hole open for'em.

Lol at U leavin out Gus... Somebody please show me an elite RB that averages 3.5 yards a carry in the history of college football... Somebody show me and I'll shut up
