Thomas brown on Brevin jordan

raved about Choc also. that 3 headed monster was clearly Homer, Deejay, and Choc(had 3 tds in scrimmage per Brown)
said Cager has had a great camp
Brevin took ALL #1 TE snaps for scrimmage
starting OLine looked good
Malik is more consistent.

when asked who's made the biggest jump he said Choc and then also mention Brevin again

Sounds like Brevin has exceeded his expectations that they had for him which were already high to begin with

-malik had one int in the scrimmage which sounded like a miscommunication.

-N’Kosi Perry has flashed a lot in the fall but is still inconsistent at times.

- said Jarren Williams has the best arm talent in the QB room.

-he also noted that cade Weldon had a couple of those picks, seems like he has cooled off lately after being on fire that first week of camp.

Heading into the season I was hoping Choc could be competing with Burns as our goaline/short yardage specialist. I would have just been happy with that and a couple of big TDs and key blocks for the other tailbacks as a FB.

Now it seems like he will have an even greater role. Could be one of the best "feel good" stories of the season if he is successful.

Joe Rose Podcast is available oniTunes. It may take an hour or two before the segment gets uploaded.

The legend of Choc!!!!! I hope the kid stays healthy and gets some snaps. I feel like anytime he has touched the rock in his career it has actually been a good run. All 12 of them.

Potentially one of those "if you told me a year ago I'd laugh you off the boards" moments - Choc Gray holding off Lingard and finally (allegedly) putting it all together.

Almost as hilarious as Malik Rosier winning the QB job in 2017 and setting statistical records... Oh wait...

I think I would compare it more to Barrios being one of the best players on the team heading into 2017.
Some people around here last August actually thought Berrios would not get any playing time.

Remember fullback draws? Imagine Choc running those. It would be like his HS plays at QB. 240 pounds of straight line speed up the middle on the field.

Would love to see it happen. Especially in short yardage when opposing Defenses are keying in on Homer and Dallas.

Most important news coming from that is the OL.......

Everyone fantasizes about the new exciting freshman but it's the OL that wins games.

Serious question...I'm trying to learn here....

So when we are in short yardage, goal line, 3rd and 1 kinda stuff...would we be using a formation like an I or Strong/Weak set with Realus as FB leading the way for Choc in RB? Or would we be using Homer or DJ in the HB role with Choc or Realus as a FB...or something completely different?

I just know this was a sore spot for us of huge proportions and I am wondering what we can be expecting with our new personnel

I'd take one season of Choc doing a spot on Quadtrine Hill impersonation at FB. That would be nice.

We could be seeing a lot of different things. Which excites me.
