This year's FSU matchup will be a 1st in a while

So Hornibrook will be the difference and carry them to victory. Ahhh...I dont think so bud.

Not saying he will. Not saying he won't. How about Miami actually play a game ot two under Diaz's staff?

Hows that, bud?

Sooo..let me get this straight. Basically..your only purpose on this forum is to CONSTANTLY let everyone know that when it pertains to MIA football, we all should only believe what our eyes can see, is that correct? Do you think it takes a lot of courage to do that..Mr Empirical? Perhaps it may serve you well to actually go out on a limb & take a position every once in awhile..or not

I'd argue we had an advantage over them the last 3 seasons. Kaaya's last year, we were up 13-3 going into score in the 3rd quarter. Brutal loss with the missed extra point. In 2017, Diaz overthought a bunch of stuff; no reason to zone blitz Blackmon that year. He adjusted a lot of that in 2018, which is one reason we improved so drastically in 3rd down conversions. In 2018, it was a weird, disastrous game throughout.

Remember, our offense has been playing with a piano on its back.

I'm not sure I'll ever expect our offense to be "good" against them.

When was the last time we had a good offensive game against them? 2009?

Have we ever been able to run the ball vs FSU?

It will come down to what it always does. Big plays, turnovers, and special teams.

You're out of your mind. What? Miami would be favored right now AT Doak, in a Miami/FSU game, after getting *** gaped 35-3 in our last game, by SEVEN? On the road? LMAO. Literally, not even close. The game would probably be a pickem, at best.

FSU's last game and it was AT mighty Doak.

Every early win total prediction I've seen for them is between 6.5 and 7.5.

Every early win total for us (even with Martell's eligibility in flux) has been at least 8 with many at 9.

Naw, we didn’t have more NFL players than FSU the last 3 seasons lol
We did last year and I'm pretty sure it was close the year before. Would be curious to see the numbers if anyone could look at the rosters. I understand why, but we have an incredible inferiority complex to too many schools. We've been coached/led by half-assed staffs. We went 6-7 one year with a team full of NFL guys. I get it.

Yes we actually have, in the last 3 draft classes fsu has had 12 picks(2 1st rounders) while Miami has had 17 picks(2 1st rounders) in the same time span. Miami will have more draft picks this year too than FSU

FSU has technically out recruited Miami for a while now but they have had a really high bust rate, especially on offense. Plus the fact that they've recruited certain positions really well but almost ignored others they have a really unbalanced roster. I can't name a single player in the seminole front seven on defense. I also can't name a single FSU wide receiver.

I did my own look. Those saying FSU was more talented simply because of the recruiting rankings are falling into the flaw of ignoring development apparently.

The last 3 NFL Combines:
2019: Miami 6 vs FSU 3
2018: Miami 9 (one a kicker) vs FSU 9
2017: Miami 9 (one a punter) vs FSU 8

You can then look at the actual rosters and, while we didn't have a Dalvin Cook, we still had more than sufficient numbers on future NFL guys throughout our starting units. The wacked out coaching makes it look off.

And in previous draft classes
2016 fsu 2
2016 Miami 2
2017 fsu 4
2017 Miami 9
2018 fsu 6
2018 Miami 6
Total FSU 12
Miami 17

Wouldn’t be surprised if this looks something like 23-24 draft picks over the last 4 years for Miami vs 15 or 16 draft picks for FSU after next months draft class is done

I'm aware, and I'm aware they were hot garbage last year.

But perhaps you forgot Miami gained 180 yards of total offense in their last game against mighty Wisconsin.

I'm not saying FSU is good. And I'm not saying Miami won't beat them up there this year.

But I am saying the line would be nowhere near -7 right now. By the way, the line in that game you mentioned was UF -3. And UF was 8-3 at that point against a reeling 5-6 FSU team. But 7-6 Miami, in a new year, would be a TD favorite? Not a chance.

They have clearly have outrecruited us, in terms of stars. But ultimately, either due too lack of development, poor evaluation, or a combination thereof, the outcome of the players performance (as far as NFL evaluations) has been much poorer on the FSU side.

The only question is, how much of it is lack of development, and how much of it is just bad evaluations of players that have decent or higher rankings.

toucher. but it gets a little tiresome for 18 yrs not winning . someone should have stepped up to the plate and fix it for good. FIX IT FOR GOOD.
