The only outliers are MIA & maybe Auburn. They are the only programs in the HISTORY of the sport to win championships with less than elite coaching. You need talent to win championships, but you definitely don't need it to be a successful CFB program. Iowa has proven that. Wisconsin has proven that. Syracuse the last 2 yrs have proven that..losing to Clemson by a COMBINED 7 pts. I want you to understand 1 thing..the essential nature of the sport is that it is developmental in nature, because we are dealing with 18-22 yr old kids. These are all unfinished products in every sense imaginable..which is why coaching will always be more important than talent in this sport. You can't try to prove your pt by citing only 2 examples in 130 yrs of CFB. I'm sorry that's not how it works
LMFAO at your examples.
Iowa what? They suck besides two seasons.
Syracuse, they suck as well.
Wiscy is a proven system team. They find their guys and run the same system year after year.
Conference games can always be trouble, no matter how good your team is. Did BC have an outstanding staff when Reed saved us? Rutgers or Temple, close game until the last quarter? That was our best team arguably and was that some outstanding coaching on their part, us looking past or what?
Syracuse and Clemson, please. Why can't they do that to everyone? Clemson was their super bowl. Being on top, you always get your opponents best.
Guess you forgot or didn't notice the 41 or whatever to 6 thrashing Clemson put on Syracuse this year. Too funny.
Quit moving the goalposts. This isn't 25 years ago where players have to wait three years to hit the field. Strength and nutrition in high school is light years of where it once was. Redshirts are largely a thing of the past and today's recruits are far more physically developed than they ever have been. Sure, you can teach them things and fine tune their physique, but the top guys are coming in jacked now. Camps are every weekend and they're exposed to more than they ever have been from a coaching standpoint.
Nice dodge on Leach. Pretty much addressing nothing I've said. Waste of my time. You haven't proven a thing I've said wrong and I've wasted anything you've put up. Don't debate, you suck at it.
