It's almost 2015. Butch is about to turn 63 yrs old. We have an administration hypersensitive about image and an oft questionable level of dedication to big time athletics. And these stories are STILL writable about Butch. I'd bet anything (regardless of supposed search lists created by work-study freshman at Hecht) he's not even hirable as a freakin' coordinator at our prestigious little Harvard of the South. He's a toxic name in our own conference now. Move on.

Anything for you, sweetheart! The "insight" is kinda required around here when people are seemingly blind to the "cloud" above our hero's head. Again, I'm clicking on Espn for scores and this is the top story on the college football page. Those still holding a grudge against the guy in the Gables have to look at the headline alone and laugh...right before they finish making fundraising calls for the music school.

Butch is a nice thought because he could come in right away and there's no learning curve. I think our list is extremely short when it comes to that. Our roster is ready to win. But I tend to agree that unfortunately it's a pipe dream.

....wut, yep. We were too scared (before Jimmy Larranaga copy and pasted his Wikipedia page) to even consider Frank Martin for the hoops job. We had Tony "I ate the whole pie" Hernandez offering the Harvard coach the job. We're almost as risk adverse in hiring as we are adverse to spending money.
 
Agree. There may have been a chance before that UNC story got bigger, but at this point I just don't see it. I know he wasn't implicated in any wrong doing but the school won't go after butch. Would love to be wrong but I just can't imagine it at this point.

its a shame too cause that man's talents are going to waste. Some school should pick him up.

Yep, and the UNC story ain't going away anytime soon too. I really think SMU is the perfect spot for Butch but they seem intent on overpaying Mack Brown. Keep an eye on WVU as a last ditch major program opportunity for him if Holgerson gets lured away. He'd kill there too and might actually get hired on saying he can recruit here alone.

We had a tough start to the season. The rest of the season sets up well for us. Win out and we likely win the coastal. Yes this team has a chance to beat FSU. If we win the coastal I dont think anyone on this staff changes. The question is have we really turned things around ? That will be answered over the next 4 games. We have 2 dominating wins over VT and Duke -teams that beat us last year.
Hopefully all you cheap *** gloom and doomers will have changed your tune by then.
 
I am not a lawyer, but there unless there is "plausible deniability" about bad things, and Butch doesnt have it with the UNC scandal.
