This is one of the reasons we are in the mess we are in.

That's Elijah's mom

I don't remember him doing anything particularly egregious

No that's not Elijah's mom. That's Cory Couch's mom but I agree with her.
Pretty sure it is Elijah’s mom retweeting a post from Couch’s mom to support another players mom. I totally understand a mom supporting other parents on the team.

People who message these kids are lunatics. It happens everywhere and these kids want the love but get salty when it is hate. You can’t have it both ways. That said, get a life and stop messaging them for ***** sake.

I’m tired of this sensitivity bull ****. You play a game with high exposure and expectations. You might even want to do it to make money one day. Your entire generation spends all day on socials making asses of themselves, flexing on people, chasing clout, building brands, etc. You don’t get to act like a ***** because the people that have made this sport something that can pay you one day get on you. It’s baby **** softness. It’s weird af for adults to @ kids on socials, but it’s mentally weak to fall to pieces when you face public criticism - especially after spending your entire life trying to be in the spotlight

End rant

Who was falling to pieces? Did the kid say something or is it just someone’s mother being a mom to her son?

Weirdo fans messaging players and family members. Get a ******* life.

This.

If anyone, after watching a football game, gets so emotional that they have to log on to social media accounts and message people that they actually do not know, then that person is a fuxking loser!

Just because Bama fans might do the same thing doesn't mean ****. Those Bama fans are fuxking losers also!

A grown *** man shouldn’t be sending messages to kids or parents. Period. But, this doesn’t cover up the fact that all of our non-freshman players have regressed and they flat out stink.

The parents are some of the worst enablers
My parents, you know all the way back in the 80s or 90s when I was growing up, would have told me there is one simple solution to stop it. Get off Twitter. The last thing on Earth they would have done is be pathetic enough to get on social media themselves and cry about it whether they or I were hurt by it or not. 2020 parents however tell them they are a victim, it's everyone else holding them back, and they should transfer. Where they then end up inevitably at a worse school, or none at all, and do nothing of substance.

A lot of Kids ( not just athletes ) put the majority of their lives on social media. For example kids announce their final 12 teams and every other non major event , for the public to see. They open up the door for criticism. What do you think is gonna happen when you make yourself so accessible to the general public ?

If you can’t stand the heat, get out the kitchen. In this case, take your soft behind off social media.

The only way to avoid it is either give up your dream of playing football on the big stage, or close all your social media accounts. This happens every where, and probably even more in the pros. Toughen up buttercup.

Younger generation can't take criticism. Look at Ben Simmons situation. He wants out of Philly because he was called out on his ****** play in the post season. But nothing that was said about him was a lie. These jits gotta learn to turn the criticism into motivation to improve.

People on here talking about it comes with the territory knowing **** well you wouldn't tolerate people verbally attacking your kid. I bet the majority of people messaging these kids wouldn't say a word to them in person. Weak individuals do stuff like that.

Leave the players alone. I'm sure they understand what happened yesterday, they're not oblivious to noise around the program.
Agreed with everything you said. That being said, this isn't unique to Miami, so it won't be better anywhere else.

🤦🏾‍♂️
People get emotional bruh
Doesn’t mean they are double agents lol
Happens all over the place
Doesn’t mean they aren’t double agents either. Speaking of double agents… saying it ain’t double agents is exactly what a double agent would say 🤔

Our fans are jackasses, that's nothing new. The fact that grown men are running up on student athletes on social media is beyond embarrassing. That said, this is the way of the world now, people act a fool on social media, saying things to people they wouldn't dare say if they were in the same room. If you are following student athletes, and actively engaging with them in a negative fashion, you really need to take a good look in the mirror.

Unfortunately comes with the territory in all aspects of the internet. Whether you're a YouTuber, twitch streamer, athlete or just some person who goes viral. People will always do stupid **** behind a screen and keyboard

Absolutely, @Ecush, I know the parents get upset with people messaging their child but if they signed up for all the praises they better be ready when the bottom falls out.

Yes, and stop messaging them would help, also.. LOL
