This is one of the reasons we are in the mess we are in.

Imagine what’s gonna be said to them if they make it to the league. Grow up and ignore it and stay off social media.

By the way it’s even more embarrassing his mom made it a point to call it out.

No I’m not excusing it, just saying.
They are professional athletes if they make it to the league. Parents are not going to influence them on which NFL team to select as they can on which college team to select. That is the difference.

Just close your inbox to messages.....You literally can block messages and not get them It's like these guys want the negative attention so then they can become the 'victim'

Classic 21st century thinking.
they only want to hear how great they are and never face criticism. they spent their entire lives being pampered for the most part. if i suck at my job and im costing the company money or my coworkers money you can rest assured i will hear about it. they wanna say they are men yet wanna cry if someone is not sucking them off telling them how great they are.

you see this more and more as generations go along.

People are ********, news at 11. Get off social media also if you don't want to hear the bad.

This happens everywhere unfortunately.

Should be able to post pics of the clowns that pulls that **** and expose them. Just to be able to put a face to trash. . .

People on here talking about it comes with the territory knowing **** well you wouldn't tolerate people verbally attacking your kid. I bet the majority of people messaging these kids wouldn't say a word to them in person. Weak individuals do stuff like that.

Leave the players alone. I'm sure they understand what happened yesterday, they're not oblivious to noise around the program.

Recruits and athletes spend just as much time if not more now building their online presence and their brand.

I don’t condone anyone taking fandom that far it’s not healthy and very immature, but if you put yourself out there to be seen, you don’t get to be caught off guard when idiots and haters come at ya.

Perfectly put.

Two years ago Ivey costs Miami the game to GT, when half-assing his role on that fake punt, as well as coverage where he gave up a touchdown. Dude wanted none of that smoke.

A week later he has two interceptions at Pitt and some "how do you like me now" attitude—while Al Blades the social media sensation is all over Twitter trashing fans for having issue with Ivey two weeks prior, but now being all over his jock again. Something to that effect.

No one wants to own the mistake—excuses made to become the victim in the story—and then fast to bask in the praise (from these same fans) when they get it right. You don't get it both ways.
Everybody in football breaks into a soul train dance production with a 1yd gain or tackle after the RB trucks 3 defenders for 15 and change.

Don't recall Jerry Rice, Barry Sanders, etc doing that.

Dance? Fine. Then dance with every trip, dropped pass, holding call, missed tackle etc.

I’m tired of this sensitivity bull ****. You play a game with high exposure and expectations. You might even want to do it to make money one day. Your entire generation spends all day on socials making asses of themselves, flexing on people, chasing clout, building brands, etc. You don’t get to act like a ***** because the people that have made this sport something that can pay you one day get on you. It’s baby **** softness. It’s weird af for adults to @ kids on socials, but it’s mentally weak to fall to pieces when you face public criticism - especially after spending your entire life trying to be in the spotlight

End rant
All true, but it’s his mom. What did you expect from her?

This is a symptom not a cause, but yes, fans who harass players or their families are pathetic loser asahats.

In the era where amatuerism was highly regarded and cherished, I could see the argument to not pick on the players.

However, with the recent events with players getting NIL agreements, and they are getting agreements for playing football at a big time program..

No, not anymore. Whether the law says so or not, if you are recieving payment directly for what you do; you are a paid professional in my eyes.

Suck it up, buttercup. Life sucks, get a helmet.

I don't bother contacting players, but if you put yourself as a public figure on social media to be easily denigrated by fans; that's on you. No one put a gun to your head to register on Twitter.

Put the ******* phone down.
