This is on Richt

The OL is playing worse for starters. We lost good WRs. Kaaya is playing scared. VT is a much better and older and experienced team this year and playing at home. There are a number of reasons. You are knowledgeable. You know you can't say we did this last year, so we should do it again this year. We put 47 on UNC in 2014 and they put 56 on us in 2015.

It's the same OL. Stacy Coley will play in the NFL and Ahmmon Richards is a future star. VTech got smashed by Syracuse and lost to Al Golden the past two years.

We were unprepared. Again. We can't make a 30-yard field goal. Our penalties are idiotic. We drop more passes than any team in Power 5. We were constantly running against the numbers.

That's coaching.

Ok so thats it i shouldnt watch games or no one should go to games for four years until hes fired becausr this wont change.

This **** is fkin depressing i dont even want to watch the games or anything i cant do it to myself no more

I mean did people really think UGA BOT and AD was just completely clueless? And who cares if you don't think they should win more than they did under Rickt, thats not the point. The point is they knew they couldnt win with Rickt so they fired him. And Flake came in and talked him out of the Del Boca Vista by handing him 4 mil.

They won with him. Richt created the expectations that UGA has. Go look up UGA's season by season record for the 15+ years before Richt got there, and really for most of their history save for 5 or so years under Dooley when Herschel Walker was there.

Dude come on man. They were second fiddle in the SEC every year. They fired him bc they looked around at LSU, Bama, Auburn, UF, Tennessee all winning rings the last 20 years and said "why not us". You are deluding yourself. What was LSU before Saban? So they shouldn't try to be better? This is just dumb.

WTF? He had a winning record vs. Tennessee and UT won a national title before he got there. LSU has been a MUCH better program historically than UGA. So has Bama. So has Auburn. Richt had a bad record against UF, but look at UGA's record against Florida in the 90s and against Spurrier in general. Richt turned them into a national program. They were Ole Miss before he got there. If you don't realize that, you have no idea what you're talking about.

Ok and Al Golden made Temple better. Rickt just wasn't good enough to get UGA to the next level. If he couldnt get them to the next level, why do we expect him to do better here? I just don't get it. I dont want to be a 3 loss team every year.

Yeah, that's a sane argument.

That's not on Richt. Badgley shanked an XP. That's not on Richt. WRs drop passes. That's not on Richt. Tyree St. Louis' 12 false starts on not on Richt. Come on. You're better than that. What does Ammon Richards playing in the NFL in 4 years have to do with anything? Tulane has NFL guys on their roster. I wouldn't want them going up against an ACC team right now. The problem is, we don't have as much talent as people think or keep saying we do. We have absolutely no depth. Look, I ripped Richt's coaching against UNC and FSU. Tonight, not his fault.

Our offense has a QB who, for all of his faults, will play in the pros. Coley and Richards will play in the pros. Njoku and Hernon will play in the pros. Yearby and Walton are above-average ACC backs. Our OL was good enough last year to handle Virginia Tech without issue.

Our talent is heads and shoulder above Virginia Tech. The NFL will confirm this like it always does. We are getting worse and playing below our talent.

We all know how the transitive theory does not ever equate to reality. You've been around long enough to know better D. I'll give you the preparation and the penalties but unless you think he should bench guys for dumb penalties then what is he supposed to do? Carter sucks it is what it is. Brad is playing bad and looks even worse you cannot deny that. He's always padded his numbers late in games and bloated his completion percentage by almost immediately checking down early in his reads. Heck so much so that he was willing to throw a ball to a covered gut two yards up field on fourth and ten! It's embarrassing IMO. He's got a good arm and that's about it. He's a better armed jacory harris end of story

Rick looks like he retired. Once again, all over the place with his play calling. And why the fck he's giving Run It Up Their Back Walton starter reps over Yearby is mind boggling.

3rd and 3? Take a deep drop, wait for slow-developing routes, and rely on pass blocking schemes that just aren't working.

Vag Tech had 12 sacks on the season coming into this game. They were 83rd in the country. Add to that the fact that they were missing their best pass rusher and another starting DL. What does Rick do? Gets his QB sacked 9 times.

You guys can blame the talent all day and night. But the same guys last year weren't giving up record amounts of sacks and pressures.

It's the perfect storm for a **** poor offense:

1.) Richt has completely lost his instinct for play calling. For like two seconds, on I think our second drive of the game, I thought Richt had made some offensive adjustments (e.g. early TE involvement, a couple quick passes). But, no. We devolved into a scattered, inconsistent mess, with slow developing plays that did nothing to help the fact that...

2.) Brad Kaaya is ******' shook, and shook nasty he is. He's seeing the pocket collapse even when it isn't. He's stepping into defenders to avoid a rush that isn't there. Every time you see him blink a little too hard, it's because he just withstood visions of defensive tackles dancing on his face. He's holding the ball too long, and hopping around like a kangaroo with his shoe laces tied. I'm proud of him for taking hits and getting right back up. Dude's tough, but it's American Horror Story in his head. He's playing badly, and it's because he's shook, but he's shook because...

3.) Our OL is bad. And what scares me most is we're gonna have to rely on freshmen (yeah, more than one) next year to fix the problem. We have a ton of bodies at the position, but we've recruited OL like I used to recruit women at last call: "You'll do. And you can come, too!"

Richt needs to hire himself a top-notch OC who can utilize the talent we do have (Kaaya is capable, Coley, Richards, Njoku, Herndon, decent RBs) OR he needs to find his juju. I don't think Richt is a lost cause, but I do think he's got some soul searching to do. I'm still encouraged by our defense, but something's gotta give on offense. He's been outta the game, and it's affected him more than he (and many of us) expected. Give up the reigns, or figure it the **** out. Watch some tape. Maybe some of your own from back in the day.

This is 100% not on Richt. Wow, I'm shocked people blame this on Richt, and in doing so, absolve Kaaya or praise him. I'm done if people are blaming Richt for not being able to win with this crap.

We lit these guys up last year. Same OL. Same QB. What changed?

@CoachMacho says Richt just needs some time to change the culture. :)

Fuente needs time to change their culture too... nvm

WTF has VT done this year? They're 5-2, not 7-0 and running to the playoffs.

They just skull ****ed us with a talentless inferior squad. That good enough?

D has dug his heels in. He's blaming missed field goals, dropped passes and our linemen getting beat on Richt, while focusing on what players may do on Sundays. Same person who said Coley coming back was the key to the season in the Spring when most other people felt it would be OL play and depth.

Stacy Coley will not be playing in the NFL because any team will look at his injury risk and realize that they can find other players with the same skill set who don't get hurt. Al Golden had five years to get the team good enough to beat VT at home in Miami. Richt played in Blacksburg with a team missing it's best defensive linemen and starting LT on a line that was already bad. So I guess I'm soft for thinking this year is basically a purge year to get rid of the weak minded and dumb players like Carter. Richt has never, to my knowledge, had a bad offensive line at UGA, so I'm guessing the awfulness is quite the shock to him. He'll recruit monsters, next year's OL will be better but shaky (probably starting one or two true frosh) and power rbs who can grind out tough yards . Defense will be a question because we truly have no talent in the secondary once elder is gone. Hopefully pass rush can minimize that. I'm sorry to say that I think Kaaya has the yips now after taking so many hits. You don't usually get better once you get the yips. I would personally lay off the kid because it's not his fault that he got piledriven into the ground on his very first snap against FSU. He's not the first qb to get happy feet after getting blasted so many times. He still gives you the best chance to win this season (Rosier barely won backup qb competition) but you have to seriously consider starting a stud frosh qb next year because Kaaya is now damaged goods (again, I feel bad for the kid because he didn't stand a chance this year)

What boggles my mind is that we only ran for 50 yards. Virginia Tech is tiny. Our OL is not great but they can push them around. How did we only run for 50 yards?

We ran for 105 your boy kaaya lost 55. It's not on richt. These players are Goldens trash. All of them except the freshman. You heard me right. They are trash. The only guy I'll give props to is corn.

Now moving on you can't teach a dumb dog new tricks. Give it a year plus. Sorry if you cant wait. But if you want to place blame do it with the **** named shalala who turned our school into east usc with all this bull**** medical research crap.

God you guys are ridiculous

James Coley got better result with the exact same players on offense. We called Coley one of the worst OCs in football. Mark Richt has been much worse but keep blaming the guy who is no longer here or the same players that got better results last year.

Newsflash Kaaya is still trash but its Richts fault lol he can't win with the Kaaya apologist.

Kaaya was 2-0 against Virginia Tech before tonight. And he threw for more yards than he ever has against them.

That is what he's done this year. He just SKULL ****ED RICHT. He's a superior coach.

And, for those blaming Richt and the play calling, some of that is on Kaaya. When we run it on 2nd and 12 or 3rd and 6, with the RPO, that's Kaaya's decision when he sees the safety or safeties back from the LOS. That's not a call from the sideline to run it. He has the option to run or pass, and he's choosing run because we have numbers. We're not executing. Now, you could argue Richt shouldn't give him the option to run it on 2nd and long or 3rd and medium even if we have numbers, but Richt is not calling a strictly running play in those situations.

Stop running the ****in rpo. That **** isnt working.

We didn't really run it that much tonight. Richt actually made a lot of adjustments from UNC and FSU. We used quick passes. We went deep. We used the middle of the field. We threw to the RBs. We used the TEs. We just had a horrible OL performance and a QB who sacked himself 5 out of the 7-8 times he was sacked. People are just so stubborn they won't see that Richt did not call a bad ****ing game. We just suck and didn't execute.

its been like this since FSU but only me, you, and Macho see it.

Kids are being put in position and not executing. I agree with the notion that Kaaya has lost the team and im sticking too my guns on Searels being a bad coach.

Yeah, that's a sane argument.

You just conveniently ignore the fact that UGA wanted to do better than Rickt. Why should they not be entitled to be better? Was Miami not entitled when we hired Schnelly? How about FSU and Bowden? Schools are entitled to fire coaches for not reaching their goals. You act like Mark Rickt was unjustly fired or something. UGA decided it wants to win a NC, and that Mark Rickt wasn't able to do that so they moved on.

Play calling wasn't bad tonight,Kayaa doesn't let go of the ball.He refuses to get the ball out quick and Palmer said it during the game.MR didn't fry the defense with his tempo tonight and he didn't abandon the play makers. And regardless who the coach is,BK freezes in the red zone.
