Jesus Christ, listen to what you're saying. A person is fully exonerated of any wrong doing, yet it perfectly acceptable to black ball him just because he was accused. Do you even realize, on how many levels, that is wrong? Guilty by mere implication! And you find no fault in that.

Butch wasn’t just blackballed for being a scumbag. He just sucks. One ten win season in 20 years and can’t win in the C-USA. UAB won that conference two years after not even having a football team and Butch is 0-3 vs Lane.

make no mistake, Manny sucks but that doesn’t make Butch good.

Average Coaches don't put 25 1st rounders into the NFL...and God only knows how many more from 84-88 that he had DIRECT involvement in....Please stop with you and others "Terrible Game Day Coach" BS....

Pete Carroll is 68, Nick Saben is 68 and Butch Davis is 68!!! Hire the ******* man!!!!!!!! He has plenty more years to bring us back. The local coaching community loves him. He would DOMINATE recruiting down here.

Awe, did I hurt your feeling showing you don't know simple math or geography? Perhaps we can become friends and ski one of the massive mountains in Auburn Alabama, or watch a Colorado Buffaloes game then take a two or three hour drive to Tuscaloosa to see Bama play, lulz.

Why would Butch bother me? He was a great coach here and built the best team ever in college football. Yes, some are not happy with the way he left, I am not one of them. Yes, some are mad at the way he recruited against us, I did not like part of it. I would have taken him back in a heartbeat. Would have loved to see if he could actually teach how he recruited and identified recruits to our staff. I think he could have created a buzz at UM when we desperately it needed coming off the 30 for 30's like no other except a Saban or Urban type coach.

He showed the other night he still has gameday flaws but his team showed up. Can't say that about Manny. He got more out of less, can't say that about Manny. He won despite being a double digit underdog, can't say that about Manny, or Wario, fanboy.

Guys like him call the pro Butch crowd a cult but just tell me their devotion to keeping him out isn't.

Yet we never seem to find one. This school made one good hire on its own and that was Howard. Even he kind of campaigned for the job. JJ asked for it in a frigging elevator. The next two NCs came on the backs of JJ/Butch Davis recruits and then the final on the backs of the greatest recruiting in history by the same Butch Davis despite horrible sanctions do to the administration and coaching hire. Truth is that for The University of Miami there is absolutely NO BETTER hire than Butch Davis. The combo of Butch and The U has been nothing short of magic. A younger Howard or JJ would be the only possible ones. Even Saban is doubtful -- he won at LSU and Bama the two biggest recruiting cheaters in the country. We have no idea if he could do anything at Miami but if you can sign him up, I will take a chance on him.

So you're saying Manny got out-foxed? That was superior coaching on butch's part, not our staff being unable to motivate or gameplan?

For once stop telling me about 20 years ago and talk about today. I don't care what butch has done over his career right now, we're talking about the current state of the Miami Hurricanes football team, no what some past coach did in the past.
