It goes way above Blake also. This school hate the football program when it was great. They prefer it the way it is. Butch be too old but his is our best shot at a return so we much force him as the hire or they will hire another loser. These are the people that hated JJ and betrayed Howard. We need burning touches and pitchforks thing.

Butch is solid gold - through and through, tested, proven, and right down the street. He keeps it simple and basic - evaluate, evaluate, evaluate, recruit, recruit, recruit, coach em up, coach em up, coach em up, and prepare the team, prepare the team, prepare the team - and take it to the opponent, take it to the opponent, take it to the opponent.

Perfect? No. Even Saban isn't perfect. Or anyone else one can toss out.

Butch is an alpha - everyone since he left - only dabbled in coaching.

well said man, and dead on. The non Butch guys just aint been around long like we have, if your over 50 your considered an "old timer" on here, you me Orlando and a few others. Your point is so valid though, 1000 coaches out there better than Butch blah blah, i think "fit" is a good way to put it too, Butch is just a perfect fit here, most coaches are not, Miami is a different place for sure. Remember i guess back when we hired Golden, alot of guys wanted Chris Peterson to get a call, I think he's an excellent coach, but he wouldnt fit here AT ALL. The, why dont anybody else offer Butch if he's so good is BS as well, he's had offers, the man has money and wants to live in SoFlo, he digs it, the Keys etc all of it, hanging with Jimmy. Now if i had several million i'd wanna live there too. I'll say this, there are not 4 coaches out there i'd take before Butch, Saban aint one of em either. Another HUGE thing in my mind that i never hear except when i bring it up around here, and its fact not a dream i had, we hire Butch we get Jimmy for free, all his knowledge and input, he'd be at practice all the time etc. When B and J have their little beer time on the patio in the evening and talk football, yes they do ask Orlando, now their talking Miami Hurricanes football exclusively, those 2 heads together, super bowl winning motherfukers, matching minds with these college coaches, having excess to 305 talent, and Texas linemen.....WE BACK !!! and i can assure you guys that jumped on this train in 2000 forward, that is the quickest way back for this program bar none. Saban, Meyer, idgaf who you hire they aint gonna top that. Hey if Manwell still wants to be a part he can coach linebackers like he should be now, or ST
 
Now if you guys can say you'd rather have xyz coach than Butch, with Jimmy on the side, then check your football knowledge because in South Florida it dont get no better than those two, and with Butch having something to prove i imagine he would have a hard-on from day 1
