This is a massive opportunity on Saturday

Louisville, while they didn’t look great on Friday, will be ranked as well by mid October when we face them if they get past Pitt and Virginia and are 5-0.

I agree completely. SMU could be, also. Not likely, but definitely possible.

I know we all want the ACC, finally. But we have no idea how this season will turn out, both for us and for all the other teams. You want to have the strongest resume you possibly can, no matter what happens either on the road to Charlotte, or if we get there. So **** yeah, root for Louisville to beat Pitt and UVA like you said. As impossible as it is for me to actually believe, root for Hogtown to beat LSU this weekend. Root for ND to smash A&M, etc. etc.

MUCH bigger opportunity than we thought when the schedule was released.

Look, we’re all focused on Charlotte, and rightfully so. But last year, we didn’t get in the playoff because we beat absolutely nobody with a pulse.

This year, we already have a win against Notre Dame. Obviously they still have 11 games to play, so who knows how the season will turn out, but they’re still -130 to make the playoffs. Most will say they will likely be a playoff team. So we already have a win on the resume against a likely playoff team.

But what about Saturday? I’m not sure if people really have their minds wrapped around this, but NOBODY in the country has two better wins than USF. They’re now +450 to make the playoffs. They have the 2nd best odds to win the American conference. After our game, they will likely be favored to win their next 9 games. This literally could be the G5 representative in the playoff. Right now, them and Tulsa are the co-favorites to do so.

This is a huge opportunity for us. If we go beat the brakes off them, does anyone in the country have a better resume than us at this point? And way more importantly, for a playoff resume, you have a win already over TWO very possible playoff teams by mid-September.

When the schedule was released, this was basically a throw-away game. A lose/lose. But now, this becomes a legitimate resume booster. I hope everyone understands that and comes out this week with our best effort. This is a very fortunate opportunity that fell into our laps that nobody saw coming. Seize it.
- USF has zero fear of Miami (as you would want in their team)...they believe they are going to win...our Canes need to give them an attitude adjustment and early
- Resume in November matters, not September...perhaps our Canes psyche operate better with disrespect than "success"?
- USF caliber teams have given Miami squads fits for years...want to show the world this is a different Miami roster and coachins staff...beat them measured and deliberately...control the game like with Bethune

Want to go to the playoffs? Want to be the class of the acc? We back? Beat usf by 3 td's or stfu.
Exactly I believe this is a top 4 team
A legit top 4 team will just lean on teams like this and methodically win by 3 tds plus
You better believe notre dame would beat this team by 3 tds at home

Doubt it’s accurate but another reason we need our own stadium

Just win! We already ranked #5. Keep winning. This the year we should be winning big and convincingly. Control and dominate the game. Put Brown on his behind early. No need to try for kill shots. Just get home for sacks. If Boise could do it 4 times in a loss, I’d expect us to get the same if not more, win by 14 and force him into some bad decisions. It’s Heatherman’s time to shine.

Account bio literally says satire. Followed by ballsacksports and No3, 1000% troll post lol. Good job by them though because several people have brought this to my attention ?’ing if its real kol.
lmao I fell for the byrum brown post that No3 did too, haven’t even reached my 30’s yet

Just my guess. Unless USF takes the opening KO scripted drive for a score, USF never has a lead in this game and I respect Golesh's O gameplans. We are going to exploit what UF couldn't in his D. They are over matched on both sides of the ball.
I respect Brohm's scheming even more than Golesh, but the way things are going right now, I have them losing at Pitt. I could change my mind in a week and a half.
I had SMU going 8-4. They may end up 7-5. They probably lose to TCU before we play them.

Winning wire to wire and covering against the only team in the country with two ranked wins/a Top 20 team would be a very nice statement.

We won't be, but I'd have a good argument that we should be ranked no worse than 2nd in the polls with wins over ND and USF on our resume. That's moot, of course. We just need to win this game. But doing it as you say would be a great stamp on this golden opportunity. Get it done, gentlemen.

Does Florida have a really good defense? I keep hearing about how Brown is a dynamic QB who should scare a defense, but USF scored a grand total of 18 points. Am I missing something?
