This has to stop man

I always interpret these things to mean:

Everyone knows we’re a sleeping giant. This ‘SEC is the best’ mentality has been extended beyond performance on the field and mythologized to mean ‘always and forever has been and forever will be’ which is an absolute joke.

We haven’t had a competent staff since Butch was here. On paper the hirings on offense look great as does increased local recruiting capability but guys like Patke and Baker remain. If Diaz can get past his bff relationships with those guys (Zack Arnett for Baker please; DJ McCarthy for Patke please) and upgrade we’ll be even closer.

If they aren’t talking about us (and FSU) on those shoes then we’re actually irrelevant.
Agree. But hey could’ve said “watch out for Miami they have a good squad and a transfer qb that is a stud and they’re keeping a lot of really good players home this class and are in contention for some elite kids”. Instead he tries to sound like a good guy while clowning us about steak.

Miami's program has been all sizzle, no steak for over 10 years now. Currently under Diaz it's the epitome of that. Goofy touchdown rings, pregame sledge hammers, the TO chain while we're losing to bum *** teams. Nothing of substance. It's always about getting that "swagger" back and NFLU, bro! That's why players come in for three years, phone it in and leave early to be 6th round draft picks. We're focusing on all the stuff that comes after winning.

What I’m saying is after the season we’ve had why is this spending 9 minutes of a video explaining what you and everyone else has been saying. No sht about the last 15 years.
It’s almost like he’s speaking to any kid that is looking to commit or any fan that has any optimism. Why doesn’t he praise the job UM is doing in recruiting despite the season? Why isnt he praising the offseason changes? If wasn’t saying sht about us last year when our recruiting was worse then why is he saying that sht now. Why doesn’t he say that sht about Tennessee who arguably has had the same thing happen to them. They’ve been even more sizzle than we have. At least we’ve put dudes in the league.
He talked about keeping talent home despite almost our entire class being form sofla.
He basically did 2 videos in the past week talking about saban owning sofla and then Miami sucking.
HE could literally do the same thing about any area. Texas, SoCal, or dmv. Saban plucks the best from there too.
Neither usc, tamu, Texas, or any team around the dmv done anything relevant to wins or recruiting despite being recruiting hot beds. But he chooses us to do a 9 minute video?

FACTS!!! Bro I’ve been saying this for years. We’re in the looking cool business not the winning business.

Boy, some of yall enjoy being miserable. But anyways...

Yall are complaining about out-coaching Saban when precisely how many coaches have been able to do that since he got to Bama? Urban, Dabo, and.... who else? Malzahn on occasion, but that's a heated rivalry so anything goes there.

Ed Orgeron at LSU is a similar profile of coach to me as Diaz in terms of not being the X's and O's guy, but surrounding himself with the coaches (and I'd argue Diaz is better on Xs and Os for defense). You criticize Diaz for last season (rightfully so), he goes out and makes almost every change that could have been asked for, and you're still moaning.
