carter way better then blay fwiw
We still need him to fill blay’s spot jumping into the center for a 5 yard penalty. Big shoes to fillcarter way better then blay fwiw
How about uniforms and apparel? Has that been taken? So should we have no discussion about next season’s team because practice hasn’t started yet?
What would you like us to discuss in the meantime? BBQ has been taken already.
Lightfoot not looking so light
NoI still wonder about the idea of us playing more 3 down linemen looks this year with moten scott and blount on the line and have Wilson/lightfoot standing up as like a 3-4 olb. Think it could make some sense with our personnel this year.
If that’s the case that’s enormouscarter way better then blay fwiw
Buddy I remember being in Chicago in 2012 vs ND and watching us roll out Dequan Ivory at DTWe used to have to worry about the 1st DT.
Lowe was the pick for breakout player last year during spring. Then he got hurt and his season was over. He's back and looks even bigger and stronger now. He's my pick for breakout player on the DL IMO.what an absolute monster. Lets hope Lowe has the same work ethic and want to
Lightfoot has not struggled against the run! That’s a poor narrative. Yes, he lacked size, however, he is pound for pound one of strongest players on the team. Dude was beating double teams and smacking ****. Y’all gon seeVery excited on this DL in terms of personnel and depth especially against the pass.
Last year's DL, though, was historic in terms of how prolific RB and AM were in pass rush - 150+ QBHs combined. That's incredible. They were also exceptional against the run.
This year's group hinges on 3 keys:
1. Wilson - prior to this year, he's been a weak spot against the run. How will he do this year against the run?
2. Lowe - huge upside. Are we expecting too much for this first year?
3. Lightfoot - see Wilson.
the greedy part of me wishes someone like Stancil can step up and provide some depth (mostly for easy games) to give our main DTs (including Davis and Carter) some relief.
I feel like Mizzou didn’t really coach their ends to set the edge like that. They let them pin their ears back no matter the down and distanceIf Hetherman can get those low 3 star DEs in Minnesota to set the edge I’m sure he can get Wilson and Lightfoot to do so as well or put someone in the position to handle setting the edge.
Setting the edge is this scheme doesn’t always fall on the DE, go back and look at Agent O set the Edge beautifully in several games. It was 190 pound Scott setting the edge.
Since his FR year of college or of H.S.? I don't think he was only 225 as a FR with us.ex
thanks! He’s gong to be playing inside a lot too is my guess . He’s gained like 50 pounds since his freshman year . Offenses are going to have issues blocking him .
Lowe is reported to be 270what an absolute monster. Lets hope Lowe has the same work ethic and want to
We used to have to worry about the 1st DT.
kicker and long-snapper are third/fourth in depth. i'm not jokingI believe we have 4 legitimate starters at DE.
Couple that with 2 top 10 DT's.
Plus the depth we have behind all 4 DLine spots isn't matched by any other team in the country, except maybe Oklahoma.
The DLine is the strongest collective unit on the team. WR corps is right there too, but the DL is STACKED.
