Third string QB Question

There is an article on another site about this very topic. The author uses a lot of quotes from Manny Navarro, from The Athletic, who recently went through a Q&A session with fans. Manny fully believes that N'Kosi Perry will be the starter against UF (about 30 people, from this board, heads just exploded) and according to the "people close to each QB" William's is the most likely to transfer in the fall if he is the third string QB. Navarro also mentioned that Tate would likely transfer at the end of the season, if he is not the starter because he would be immediately eligible to play, considering he will have graduated by the end of the season.

The link is below.

So we lose two QBs and head into 2020 hypothetically with Perry at QB and Matocha/Van Dyke as backups? Someone is transferring no doubt out of the three competing. I would assume as they are announced 3rd team right before the season they bolt.

That's a great question for Manny Navarro and/or the author of the article, but mainly Navarro.

Manny Navarro should have to transfer out of the media and to selling cars at Gus Machado Ford if N'Kushi isn't the starter. Clown show stuff of him to essentially be predicting that just to get a reaction/clicks.
I am not a fan of random predictions, but hasn't pretty much every member of the media, that covers our team, given their opinion/prediction on who they believe the starter will be? What makes Manny any different from the rest of them? Just curious.

Random, but our locker room look like it's stuck in the late 2000's. Are there anymore phases of our facility upgrades? I know we have the dorms but I'm talking about for football.

How much of our third string fanbase will transfer if one of our QBs transfer?
I don't know about transferring, but they will definitely be on this board, sour and crying like lil b'itches, if "their QB" is not QB1. Every little thing that the chosen QB do will be over scrutinized by the mob because "their guy" should have been QB1.

Have they? I'm not a huge stickler on professional standards but if you just cover the team and aren't an analyst/columnist then I can see how a head coach or OC or the actual QBs could get real ****y with you if you're off jumping to conclusions publicly via a strong prediction of a decision that probably isn't anywhere near actually having been decided yet.

Obviously it's not a huge deal to me personally but I bet the trained monkeys that cover Baga and such would nevahhhhh think about getting so far out ahead of similar decision/situation.

Manny came up for air from overeating long enough to give all those opinions?

To those that aren’t familiar with Mammary Navarro, that guy has been wrong about 80% of the time. He’s as dumb as he is obese.

If he’s right with any of his predictions it’ll just be due to random chance.

I think all predictions are meaningless and therefore are pointless, because at the end of the day, it is just a guess, regardless of whether or not that guess is to be deemed as an educated one; it's still a guess nonetheless.

The media does this all of the time, including Alabama. Their beat writers were all weighing in on who they thought would be the QB between Tua and Hurts, with most of them picking Tua. National and local media has and will always do whatever is necessary to get clicks, including making dumb *** predictions. ****, the most anticipated part of College Gameday, is the dumb *** predictions at the end of the show. QB battles, actual games, wins/loses, etc...are all situations that the media constantly make their individual predictions!

Agreed. I didn't like Manny back when he was at The Miami Herald. Both he and Lebatard could overdose on fake crabmeat at Golden Corral for all I care.

You’re right about the media and their predictions, but I don’t know if our local media has actually done too much predicting on the quarterbacks. This is the actual first one I’ve seen make a prediction.

There may be others, but I’d like to see them. And the reason why nobody’s making predictions, is because nobody knows. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kosi was the starter, I wouldn’t be surprised if any three of them were the starters.

It doesn’t mean that I don’t think he might be right, but if he is, it was just a good guess. He has no inside info upon which to base an intelligent prediction.

Off the top of my head, Ivins, Underwood, and Navarro have all called their shot regarding who they think will be QB1. I'm sure there are others, I just can't remember. I don't even think the coaches know who the starter will be, let alone anyone outside of the program. You and I have just as good of a chance of guessing the starting QB's, and just like Ivins, Underwood, and Navarro, we don't know s'hit!

I don't necessarily disagree with your reply but I would say that Manny being employed by the Herald and running his mouth on this front as a pseudo analyst/talking head vs his actual job title is very different from Ivins or some middle school band teacher. As far as Baga, I can't imagine Sabag not losing his **** on some chimp from the Tuscaloosy Gazette & Coupon Rag running his mouth on local radio with depth chart predictions in April or May.

Manny is now at the Athletic. Either way, we agree that his prediction, as all predictions in this manner, are just dumb!

As for Saban, I would be shocked if he didn't lose his s'hit with all of the predictions. He was losing his s'hit on National TV when the national media would bring up the subject. I can only imagine what f'uckface did with the local media in KKK land!

Ahhhh, gotcha. I mistakenly thought he was still the Herald.

Exactly. It's hilarious how Sabag is sooooo ****y at some of those pressers when the media there is less critical of him/his program than North Korean State Media is of Kim Jong-un.
