This is exactly how I see things. This young man is a professional athlete, paid to execute on the field for UM. Through 3 games, his execution has been subpar. I'm sure he's trying his best, but he simply isn't doing the job to the standard.

Keep the criticism above board and avoid personal attacks, of course. But, if he's going to take the checks, he needs to learn to take the criticism.

And clapping back or sticking your chest out on social media when your tape through 3 weeks has been putrid is a bad look. Players who are actually doing the work and actually "don't hear the noise" don't have to always tell everyone about it.

I cannot believe what a loser a fan has to be to rag on our guys who are kids.

Simultaneously, players are going to have to learn to deal with criticism from idiot fans and podcasters if they wanna do this for a living at a high level. It goes with the turf.

Good, it was a poor choice on his part and I hope he understands why.

He can post scripture and affirmations of faith all over his apartment, locker, car, playbook, wherever; but for the sake of the Lord almighty, please don't do it on social medial after that performance.

1. SJ is a paid athlete (no, he's not a student athlete, he's a paid professional). He isn't going to gain a single thing posting **** like this on social media, this doesn't benefit him at all. I'm not going to pretend like I'm some almighty power and say some dumb **** like "he needs to stop posting on social media and focus on getting better". I'm 100.0% sure a social media post isn't why he's playing poorly, but this still doesn't benefit anyone at all, and is totally unnecessary.

2. If you tweet at an athlete, or DM them on instagram, or send them a singing telegram, you are a completely useless piece of **** as a human being. Get a ******* life, for real. Go to work. Talk to a woman. Get your money up. Touch grass. I'm as unhinged a lunatic as anyone on here when it comes to Miami football and how it impacts my life. I realize I'm sick. But holy ******* **** I cannot even begin to imagine the embarrassment I would feel as a man to tweet or message or contact SJ, or any other player on the team, to talk negatively to them. I would beat the everloving **** out of my kid if I ever found out he was doing some sorry *** **** like this. If you or anyone you know does stuff like this, remind yourself or them that they are a stain on society and to be better. Pathetic, repulsive behavior for an adult male.

I’m fine with criticizing players (although tweeting at them is weirdo behavior) but I find a lot of irony in the fact that a lot of the same people who are like “you just need to sack up and have thick skin” are the same ones melting down when Wake Forest completes a 12-yard pass on the first drive of the game.
