they're still just kids

I keep my post on here and wez.. I dont go to these kids socials.. But he is a highly paid adult.. Social media has gotten out of control and these players grew up living on there and think its real. They reading post from Dannyboycane types as legit.. sad

Multiple things can be true, and usually are, in life. Here they are, in case anyone is confused:

1. SJ is a paid athlete (no, he's not a student athlete, he's a paid professional). He isn't going to gain a single thing posting **** like this on social media, this doesn't benefit him at all. I'm not going to pretend like I'm some almighty power and say some dumb **** like "he needs to stop posting on social media and focus on getting better". I'm 100.0% sure a social media post isn't why he's playing poorly, but this still doesn't benefit anyone at all, and is totally unnecessary.

2. If you tweet at an athlete, or DM them on instagram, or send them a singing telegram, you are a completely useless piece of **** as a human being. Get a ******* life, for real. Go to work. Talk to a woman. Get your money up. Touch grass. I'm as unhinged a lunatic as anyone on here when it comes to Miami football and how it impacts my life. I realize I'm sick. But holy ******* **** I cannot even begin to imagine the embarrassment I would feel as a man to tweet or message or contact SJ, or any other player on the team, to talk negatively to them. I would beat the everloving **** out of my kid if I ever found out he was doing some sorry *** **** like this. If you or anyone you know does stuff like this, remind yourself or them that they are a stain on society and to be better. Pathetic, repulsive behavior for an adult male.
 
Social media is a cesspool. Best to not wade into it. Vile Personal attacks are part of the landscape. It’s not anything new in life, just amplified now. That said, he likely makes more this season than most people on this site make over a couple of years. Gets an opportunity for a free education a good university. Will have more doors opened for him in life than I can dream about. Deal with it “kid” - hope he gets better though, we need it
 
My thoughts:

1. Never respond to fans. Like many mentioned in this post, nothing to gain.

2. Fans suck. The comments on that post are riddled with "youre just not good enough". Like wtf value does anybody get from that? Dude is a sophomore, young player on our team that is playing oit of necessity right now. Telling him he sucks and further ruining his confidence is going to do what exactly for our team? Keep your complaints to message boards. If there is anger, point it towards Mario bc SJ is a true sophmore on the OL being forced to play. A lot of lineman dont produce until year 3, especially undersized ones lile SJ. But he was thrown into the fire here bc Mario didnt plan properly.

Just ****es me off that fans are so stupid and lack long term thinking. Just react based off of emotion.

This same passage tells us that God acknowledges creating the destroyer who forges these weapons against us, which--to mix metaphors--is a very thorny theological can of worms dealing with the eternal problem of pain and suffering under the eye of a sovereign deity. Everybody quotes this verse without acknowledging the former. Also, "all things work together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose." In this theological paradigm, perhaps the adversity is designed to cause the realization that his life's purpose is not to be a guard at the elite level of football, and to strive to do so will be failing his true calling. Also, bonus: "who by worrying can add an inch to his stature....."

I hope he has good counsel among his family, friends and coaching staff. This must be a difficult time for him.

He got much more support under his post than I would expect after clicking to see what you highlighted, but the way the human mind works, he will only see the negative.. Hopefully he just does like Oconner and he can work hard to get a nice g6 portal bag
