I was indicating that I've taken a few more than a civics course. Props on your academic accomplishments, your obviously more educated in a relative field; so please explain for me how it is not some type of violation for a coach to threaten "immediate dismissal" for speaking with one media member but allowed to speak with others? I could understand if the coach had specific knowledge of certain players defaming him or the school but I don't believe this was the case.

I don't support Golden, but I won't bash him like other do when anyone with any common sense knows it hurts the team. I'd rather just support the players. So bashing Golden and demanding change after 5 years of failure is going to hurt the team more than going 6-7 with 7 NFL draft picks? It hurts the team more than 3 sideline infraction penalties?

The people who pay Fraulden know what's going on with the fans. They think they can continue to ignore it, and it will go away. Not gonna happen!

So you know who's the real problem and you still go after Golden? The problem isn't Golden, it's the people who hired bargain basement coaches for the last 15 years.

Golden is part of the problem. There are a lot of coaches making less than Golden or about the same and doing better on smaller budgets. He has the most control over how the team is directly performing and he suck at it. Get his *** out first then move to the next clowns who are hiring

The irony of this whole situation is that Pete's a UM student trying to further his career - he's one of UM's own. They'd rather associate themselves with people like Laz - a convicted felon who hasn't stepped foot inside a UM classroom (or the classroom of any accredited 4-year University of that matter) - and stick their nose up at a rising star in the industry who attends the institution. I'm embarrassed to say I ever went to UM.

Someone in charge should have stepped up and cleaned it up before it was to late. Pete has no choice but to distance himself from this and has been trying to so for a while. I think you should go back 40++ years in this country before it was pussified. The weak people in this country actually took over now, coaches use to smack players around. Every once in a while you'd even see a player beat a big mouth fan up. Gotta love the old days, America is now weak and wimpy.

I may be naive but I don't think the negativity of the forum has anything to do with it. We've never gotten a complaint about it from the school, nor did we ever get a complaint about the WEZ.

The only issues have been related to the disclosure of information. I get it- guys like Belichick and Saban are as paranoid as it gets. But the ironic thing is that Pete doesn't report his conversations with players, and we withhold a ton of information for the good of the program. The Marques Gayot injury is a very recent example.

This is a f*cking message board. There is a reason that U.S. law protects website publishers from liability for the comments of posters. Does UM cut off the Herald's access because of comments made by unaffiliated posters on its website?

Would love to know how many times and in what contexts Golden directly or indirectly leaked information regarding the program to the media.
