#TheWork - Golden Puts Players On Gag Order, Pete Froze Out

I may be naive but I don't think the negativity of the forum has anything to do with it. We've never gotten a complaint about it from the school, nor did we ever get a complaint about the WEZ.

The only issues have been related to the disclosure of information. I get it- guys like Belichick and Saban are as paranoid as it gets. But the ironic thing is that Pete doesn't report his conversations with players, and we withhold a ton of information for the good of the program. The Marques Gayot injury is a very recent example.

Respectfully disagree. Put yourself in Golden's or UM's position, and what would you do?

Maybe act like a professional? You don't go after someone's professional future, because some people are being mean on the internet. Especially when said person has been nothing if not complimentary of you personally. It's absurd behavior that is incredibly petulant and childish. And all it does is prove that he's not, in fact, "ignoring the noise."

Preach.

The best part of the UM shills claiming fans on the web brought this upon themselves is that these idiots refuse to acknowledge how remarkably pathetic it is that a grown *** man making $2.5M to "lead" a football program with a rich history of success is instituting a gag order because his feelings were hurt over banners and fans (justifiably) complaining about lack of production.

He's a coward and the people that defend him are also cowards.

I'd love to see Folden coach at an SEC School like Bama, where the fans are borderline psychotic. People here think UM fans are bad? We're nothing compared to some of the other deranged fanbases.

I don't understand the Hechts obsession with the amount of time we spend talking UM football ITT.

Would you rather what's left of the fan base go away, and Coach Al can field a team in an empty stadium with no TV coverage?

You'd be completely insulated from any scrutiny.

Miami is hands down the most poorly run, disorganized, dysfunctional program in the country.

That has to carry over in part to the academic portion.

Just imagine if the BOT and Administration were dismissed and competent people were hired.

UM could lead in many University categories, including all the additional funding a winning program would provide.

This could also be said about the whole damned school. The football program is a mirror of the entire university. The athletic department is a rolling disaster with the exception of basketball.

I wonder if Frenk realizes what an epic cluster he has on his hands.

The place has ALWAYS been like this. I could tell you guys stories that would either have you shaking your head in disgust or howling with laughter about some of the BS I've encountered there over the years.

Just imagine: they made an enormous, and I mean enormous, bet on UHealth. And, they may have to sell off the hospital. We'll see what ends up happening with that portion.

LOL at Al's Army trying to justify that paranoid faqgit sitting around micro managing websites instead of coaching football. He's all about "ignore the noise," yet he's so focused on the noise that he's busy fighting a college kid about a Kicker showing up for a radio show that 15 people might have heard.

He's a petulant, lying, sniveling fat baby, who is so caught up in trying to engineer perception of what he's doing that he has resorted to picking fights with a college student.

His faqgit followers should be ridiculing him for this latest feeble stab at eliminating the noise through censorship. Instead, they support it because it's what they would do instead of what a $2.7M/year HC at a marquee power 5 program SHOULD be doing.

You're right, "The Franchise". It's a lot more mature and professional to whine about it for 22 pages......and counting. Back to your law practice.

Chise is 100% right again. The Pope should take lessons.

emptier stadium

Perhaps Al thinks that the WEZ is still part of CIS...............either that or he thinks Pete is behind the banners that are simply destroying Al in the public's eyes.................

Many of the same posters, I guess you think everyone is stupid? Tough to have a reasonable conversation when you're lying.

WTF are you talking about dim bulb?

What an a$$.

This thread would be a lot shorter if you weren't on Golden's payroll, replying every third post.

So you're not a math guy either, I see. I jumped in here around page 20, Tesla. Which means the rest of you professional grown men with big time careers whined for 20 pages without me. Over a college kid's gossip access. Thread of the year.

I'd love to see a statistical analysis showing what you two have stated as fact as true. You chaps must be crazy busy knowing the inner workings of every school across the land.

Story guy, let's hear some of those stories. We could all use a laugh during this decade of unfulfilled expectations.

I really hope you aren't an Alumni because it would disgust me to share an alma mater with you.

Alumni is plural. When referring to one person, the word is alumnus or alumna. Now that we know your intelligence level, I am the one who hopes that YOU aren't a fellow alumnus or an alumna. That would bother me.

You seem to have spilled your appletini all over the duvet' old chap. Shall I ring the butler?
