(1) We have beat three ranked opponents, they’ve beat two .
(2) Yes true, but you’re valuing good losses over an actual head to head win.
(3) Not a higher rated criteria than head to head. Also it’s a wash where they’re ahead by four spots.
(4) The CFP lists head to head as the definitive tie breaker between teams with similar metrics and records, that’s where we’re both at.

Neither team got in, so there was literally no negative consequence to being the second team out instead of the first.
 
Why are people surprised by the polls? We beat the worst defense in America and only 1 team above us lost. What did you guys expect to happen?

I just defeated your argument with a fact. They had bama ahead of us at the end when they shouldn’t have.

I mean, that's what I deal with. Again, I have been 100% on topic and haven't come after anyone personally. Yet a moderator stirs the pot to make it about me. Are there no other debates or arguments on this board?

Moderator: He can’t take an L when he fails in his contrarian quips on here.

But I get threatened. So typical.

I would recommend dropping the logic that if we win out we’re in. Don’t care if we beat VT 56-3 and Pitt 66-7. It’s gonna take a ton of help and chaos in the top 12 for us to make it.

I think Vandy loses. They may even drop the Kentucky game. Beyond that, we would have to naturally hop Utah with style points and they limp by K State or Kansas, hope they take some consideration into BYU getting blown out in their conference championship, and Oklahoma or Bama dropping a game. Hopefully that SEC calling card about how it’s a dog fight every week comes to fruition. They’ll cook it up so Bama and Oklahoma can make it to get their $ and the most possible teams in.

That’s a lot that has to happen and doubt we’re jumping any of those teams artificially without them losing a game. They haven’t done it yet
