It was 10-7 in that game in the second half. We gave up a garbage touchdown with 1 min left against 3rd stringers.

It’s 100% relevant.

Ranked at the time is irrelevant. Our 3 ranked opponents include FSU lol come on, they're garbage. We each have 1, and they're closer to having a 2nd (Navy)

Every metric, predictive or resume, has them a few spots higher than us. Unless that narrows, and ideally flips in a few places, I don't think that's close enough for H2H to enter the picture.

We need to blow out our next 2 opponents, need them to look mediocre, and probably need some of the teams in between to lose and narrow the gap.

They will try their best to keep us separated by more than 3 spots so that nonsense they said will hold true. And they don’t have to face this decision
