MEGA There’s Still Hope for the ACCCG/CFB Playoffs Mega Merge Thread

Remember this a committee who left an undefeated team out of the playoff when there weren't 4 others to appease nick Saban who proceeded to lose.

That's why I keep saying we'll know a lot tonight if we jump Vandy or not.

If we do jump Vandy, I think the committee is wanting us to get close enough to put us in front of ND where they know we belong if we have the same record.

We won't jump Utah since they also had a big win this weekend.

The best thing for the committee to do is let us both in at 9/10 but that would mean dropping:

Utah
Vandy
BYU

And hoping one of: Oregon, Bama, or OU loses again.

Also, we could get within 3 of ND tonight if:
OU jumps ND and Bama also stays ahead of ND.

That would drop ND back to 10 and we'd move up to 13 of we jump Texas and Vandy.

After the Virginia Tech (assuming we win big) game I expect to see the most movement. I would like to be in the top 12 going into Pitt

I know we talk about playing anybody anywhere anytime, but at this point.. why bother?

Indiana's non conference schedule is:
Old Dominion (FCS)
Kennesaw State (Con USA)
Indiana State (FCS)

For their conference schedule, they will have played the bottom 5 teams in the B1G standings and 8 of the bottom 10.

They also beat 6th place, 6-4 Iowa by 5 points.

They are getting into the playoff because they played a joke non conference schedule and a weak conference schedule and had one good win (Oregon).

Scheduling weak opponents and running it up against them is somehow a viable strategy for getting into the playoff.
We've come full circle to how Bama et al used to end the season ranked high.

Bama's placement will tell us all we need to know. If they drop Bama below ND its over for us unless bama loses to auburn.

Unfortunately the committee has made it clear as day ND will be in. No shot we jump them (unless they lose).

Should instead fix our focus to Vandy, Utah, Oklahoma, BYU, and Bama dropping a game (or ACC chaos).

I’ll say this about ND. There is no way they can improve their resume moving forward. Their forward movement is halted unless others in front of them lose.

CFP committee crooked as ****. Their meeting like when Don Corleone met with the heads of the 5 families.
Yeah, I probably posted this in the wrong thread earlier today, but I’ve been thinking about all the ESPN conflicts of interest with the CFP Committee and summarized it in this post:

is it up to him?

acc has a scheduling agreement with ND

we didnt go out and schedule with them right?
This particular ND home-and-home series of games are not through the ACC. UM and ND scheduled them alone.

That being said, Dan has been awfully quiet during all this controversy, per usual. God forbid he look out his window in South Carolina and do his job.

Yep, look at this bum!!... by the way, im sure we'd all be fine if ND left the ACC.

I saw another one yesterday where a ND fan said all the ACC schools are all begging ND to be in the ACC so we can all play them every year or something.

They really are rivaling the Gators for most delusional fanbase.
