MEGA There’s Still Hope for the ACCCG/CFB Playoffs Mega Merge Thread

2 weeks to play and the only loss in the top 11 was 1 of 3 undefeated teams that there was 0 chance Miami could jump.

Also in conference, there was an upset and it was the 1 that Miami didn’t need and the least likely with the higher spread.

Couldn’t have had worse luck when we needed anything to happen in the last few weeks. Even before then, Utah pulled off a miraculous comeback, even though we jumped them. Oklahoma needed to lose to Alabama and how that played out, the play out of Oklahoma and LSU yesterday. Everything that we couldn’t afford to happen, happened.

Did we already talk down the possibility of ACC switching us for Duke based on the big ten precedent yet?

Every year it becomes more and more apparent: we're cursed, now the universe is just rubbing it in.

Still think people are massively underestimating the chances of us and ND swapping places. The CFP genuinely thought we’d stumble or just kicked the can down the road on a decision. That’s no longer the case.

Putting in a 10-2 over a 10-2 who they lost to sets a precedent the don’t want to set.

I agree. They’ve shown a willingness to correct for our initial low ranking each week, bumping us ahead of other teams that also keep winning (Utah, vandy) but don’t look as impressive as us.

OU and Bama have both looked average the last few weeks. Because of SEC bias, I know this won’t happen but imo the rankings should be
8. Miami
9. ND
10. OU
11. Bama
12. BYU

Bama wins and they jump OU to make the field (conference champ trumps H2H).

This would make sense, but it will never happen. Not 1 person in the media has brought up the common opponent factor with Bama either. At this point, we’re ****ed.

Finebaum had been talking about for a couple of weeks. And, he said it again this a.m. on SC. H2H matters always has, and that Miami holds the edge over ND. Not a fan of his, but appreciate him telling truth to this BS.
 
My biggest gripe with ND being ahead of us besides the head to head matchup with us, is their best win is vs USC at home? Then, a Pittsburgh team whose coach flat out said they didn’t care if they lost by 100… they have zero big time wins and only big time losses. That should matter. Sure they are playing better and look good but at some point you should have to beat a top 15 team to get in.
 
UVA lost to nc st and wake forest 16-9. 9 ******* points. 2 ACC losses but since the conference too big they only count 1 loss

Duke is 7-5. 5 ******* losses smh

These two are competing for the Acc title? This conference is a joke because the leadership is a joke philips. No one seriously believes these two are the two best teams in the conference. What a joke
