Playoff Committee: "Because ND and Miami are ranked so far apart, we're not allowed to compare the two and consider things like a head-to-head match-up."

College football fans: "But you guys are the ones who ranked them so far apart."

Don't be surprised if ND jumps past Oklahoma just for the committee to keep us further apart from ND

Curious what the odds would be of every result In the last 4 weeks going against us the way they did. Even just counting things that were 50:50 in the 4th, it had to have been astronomical. ******* depressing finish considering how good we looked

If that 442211 CFP format gets put back on the table, the ACC better think twice before they turn their nose up at it. Otherwise they’re gonna get only one team in more years than not.

Anyone know why we didn't join the lawsuit against the ACC? A lowered exit fee like FSU got would be nice right about now. We could ditch this trash conference.

Once UVA won, we had no shot at the ACC championship game, so it would’ve been better for us for SMU to win and stay ranked for our strength of schedule and at-large chances.

You're not listening.

SMU was one of several games that we needed. It is the ONLY one that went our way. Yes, there were probably a lot of other games that didn't mean as much ONCE THEY WERE OVER.

For instance, we didn't "need" Oklahoma to lose...because we still had Alabama-Auburn upcoming.

But that is just a short-sighted way of analyzing things.

We needed SMU to lose. Sure, SMU losing didn't mean as much when OTHER things didn't happen. But we needed SMU to lose under MULTIPLE "Miami makes the ACC-CG" scenarios.

And we are NOT going to be omitted from an at-large spot because SMU went from #22 to, say, #26. We WILL be omitted from an at-large spot because teams like BYU and Alabama and Oklahoma chose not to lose this weekend.
