To this day, Cedar Point in Ohio is the best park I've been to as a roller coaster lover. Best all around coaster park IMO. Magic Mountain is a close second though.
My uncle owned a Bed and Breakfast in Erie, PA and took us when we went to go and see him one summer. I remember seeing the top of the Top Thrill Dragster and thinking oh cool, we must be like 10 minutes away (because in MA at Six Flags, you could see the top of SuperMan, which was about 200 ft tall, when you were 10 mins away) only to have my uncle tell me we were still about 40 mins out. I remember thinking, well why the F*CK can I see the top of the that coaster then? lolAgreed
Grew up almost going every weekend to CP & Lake Erie
Super Nintendo World just opened up looks cool
How many will make me barf? One cool feature at Epic Universe: the storage lockers for personal items have a front and back door. Drop off your things before you enter the ride, pick them up on the opposite side before you leave. Great for traffic flow. Less head butting other guests. Also, no park ticket or credit card needed. Scan your face to lock and unlock your lockers.
Frankenstein Monsters Unchained has a fantastically themed cue line. The ride uses the same robot arm to move you that Harry Potter’s Forbidden Journey moves you in Islands of Adventure.
Rides I rode:
Monsters Unchained
Curse of the Werewolf
Mario Kart
Yoshi
Donkey Kong
Hiccup’s glider
Saw shows:
Cirque d’arcane
Untrainable Dragon
Hoping to see Trial of Dolores Umbrage next week. I walked the cue line. It is gorgeous.
Stardust Racers is the most intense ride there. If you are prone to motion sickness, I would sit out all the coasters. Curse of the Werewolf and Hiccup’s Gliders look super tame from the outside. They are not! I liked Donkey Kong, but many friends could not handle it. If you do get conned into riding anything you feel nervoous about, take deep breaths. I did that on my second Hiccup Glider attempt and did way better with nausea. How many will make me barf?
I've found a good rule of thumb is if there's a height requirement, it's off the table. Do they have a place where I can get a beer and a churro and wait for the dumbasses in my family to get done?Stardust Racers is the most intense ride there. Many places. Each “world” has a place to get food and sit.I've found a good rule of thumb is if there's a height requirement, it's off the table. Do they have a place where I can get a beer and a churro and wait for the dumbasses in my family to get done?
the view from 1:39 to 1:49 in the video is off the charts coolStill closed to general public, but Universal employees can let friends and family in.
I have been. Going back next week. The whole park is beautifully done.
Truly. I’m kind of sorry you saw it in video first. It hit me in the face like a baseball bat.the view from 1:39 to 1:49 in the video is off the charts cool
