The Work 8-5: First week of fall camp

I didn't mention this but Berrios had a big day today. I wouldn't say he's lost in the shuffle because he's still with the ones, but the buzz plays are being made by the younger guys.

Who are these sauces? For real on the sheriff?

The same sauces that had him lighting up the early part of spring I guess. Then people actually got to see him play and he was terrible in the third scrimmage and his completion percentage over the final two was about 43% with a pick and only one FG drive. That has never been explained. How those performances can so differ from observations.

I believe he was the leader of the backup race last fall too until he wasn't and observers were "shocked" when he didn't win it.

I never said he was "lighting it up." Nobody "won" the backup race last year. If Kaaya had gotten hurt in the middle of the year, Shirreffs probably would have been the guy.

SDM just posted a story on the Herald with a quote from former Cane Daryl Jones. He said Berrios caught a long TD from Perry, and Perry had a good throw to either Harley or Thomas

So why wasn't Shirreffs the first off the bench against App. State? Richt just decided to allow the guy he didn't really want to take game reps to play? Why didn't he come in against Duke? Richt wouldn't insult a guy who's never thrown a pass in a college game with mop up duty?

If Kaaya had gotten hurt and Shirreffs would've been the guy as you say, Richt just gamed himself into starting a guy who had never thrown a pass in a game with his only game action against FAMU. Brilliant planning.

This is why the sources and their thoughts don't mesh with reality. What possible reason would Richt have for holding out the guy who he sees as a backup from getting time? Starting a backup QB controversy?

On TOS one of the insiders is reporting it's Malik and it's not close....I just don't see it with Sherrifs. Dude looks like a scrub to me. I hope it's not him...

Interesting. I heard Testaverde Jr. was a shoe-in for the job. According to sauces, he's looking like a better version of his dad on the field. Richt is dumbfounded.

Richt was saving him for fsu. Didn't wanna give away too much

That was two different phrases on his practice observations as she was asking him to recount what he saw:

Berrios caught a long TD, pause

Also Perry had a nice curl route throw

I'll believe Sherrifs is actually ahead of Rosier when it happens.

Rosier was the #2 QB last year, that's just a fact. And from what I saw in the Spring Game, Sherrifs just isn't good. He was by far the worst of the 3 QBs who played that game. Weak, weak arm and nowhere near as athletic as Rosier.

If it's as Pete says it is, then Perry has to be the Week 1 starter, because Sherrifs is literally a walk-on level talent

I can not even begin to tell you how excited I am for this season!

So who threw the Berrios TD

Evan. He was head and shoulders best qb out there today. I'm not saying he's a great qb but he's the best we got right now. Perry needs a shirt.

Someone else said that too. Evan it appears had a good day but he's followed up good days with bad ones and hasn't done enough to cement himself. Someone needs to show consistency.
