The Work 7-28

The Work continues to soar like an eagle. I too expect Grace to contribute this year. He might not be the biggest or the strongest, but he is explosive, smart, and fearless. He's going to give us a big upgrade over what Paul gave us last year. He's a way better and more athletic LB than Paul will ever be.

4:09 was enough for me.. Chased the ball carrier 40 yds down field.

Sounds like another linebacker we had a couple years back who did pretty well.
Sean spence anyone?

I believe ice jr. said jackson did play football when he was younger but then decided to just focus on b-ball.

Jacksons older bro's and cousins i believe both played de at Booker T.

I remember Jonathan Jackson was a beast @ de and folks on grassy wanted him to get an offer back in the day. Think he ultimately went to fiu or usf.

Think the upside on Jackson will be big...hes a kid i would shirt like Hoilett and just let him live in the weightroom....Hoilett seems to have filled out and will log minutes for us this yr..

I'm excited to watch that Norcross vs Boopker t game now...

Our TE commit will be lined up on Chad Thomas and Jackson...and Norcross's 3 div 1 level wrs will go against LIL Bethel....all cane fans should tune in to that one....I think Chad Thomas will go ham in that game.

Looking at the official roster I see Larry Hope is now #7. Wasn't he 11 in the spring game?

Strong. We need to exponentially increase our linebackers coverage skills.

Very odd that these freshman are getting to wear the single digit numbers.....in most programs you have to earn those numbers....like Allen Hurns did

Hurns didn't earn it. Brandon Harris graduated. Just like Travis Benjamin switched from #80 to #3 after Glenn Cook graduated.

Hurns absolutely did earn it...he asked Golden for #1 & he got it based on his work ethic...

i am really excited about this kid and we will be at a point where he can redshirt, grow, and learn the position.

Similar body types (though Grace is bigger and will probably get up to 235-238 by the time he graduates), but very different players. Don't think you'll ever see Spence's TFL numbers from Grace, and Grace will excel a lot more in coverage than Spence did.

Pete, so when Phillips wanted to commit to us last month his dad told him to wait and think bout it, but he had the green light to commit to UF?
