There's rumor that Cook decommitted but nothing that he flipped to FSU.

I also remember we had no shot with Howard , Burns, or McCord but that worked out nicely didn't it?

What are you talking about?? After Burns committed early to Bama Coach Fields and his mom got on him and basically made him switch to UM.. A month or two after he committed to Bama there fanbase knew his was leaving and going to Miami.. After UF didn't want McCord there was alot of chatter that he was down to Miami and USCe..

UF wanted him to commit on the spot at their Friday night lights event and rubbed McCord the wrong way.

or when everyone posted the pic of the bama jet coming to visit deon bush?

i think people assume fsu because they think cook and lane are a package but in an interview cook basically said he lies to lane. it would be hilarous if cook commited to us and left lane out to dry.

What Im talking about is all the scuttlebutt that's always on here. People saying WE HAVE NO SHOT....I remember many saying we had no shot after Artie committed to Bama...People thought Tracy was gone.... People thought McCord was a USCe lean...**** you always have a shot until NSD. I was simply replying to when someone says WE HAVE NO SHOT... ok??

IMHO, Howard and AQM are the two biggest recruiting surprises to date for this staff, with Coley a close third.

We need either cook or Michel. If Michel's brother does end up at Umass I think we have a good shot at him but the staff needs to reel in one of these two big fish. Trust the tie!

I'd say that we need Cook more than Michel, if Sony picks UGa, as it looks like our getting Cook would keep him from FSU.

the less we hear about Griffin the more we should prepare for life w/o him..

It has always been a long shot. All you had to do was listen to fans from Texas. Its kinda when an OOS steals or gets a commit from someone here, and we try to tell them that they arent that good, i.e. Greg Bryant. The people from Texas said the kid was borderline illiterate, but didnt deny the fact he was supremely talented.

no doubt he's talented between the hash marks, but it just ****es me off when kids can't handle their business in the classroom when success is staring them straight in the face. smh...

Great work Pete! I personally think we land Cook, only because he seemed real down when Yearby got injured and was sad thinking that their high school careers will end like that...and he claims that Yearby is his brother/ close friend and loves playing with him....also I think he wants to really see how bad the Staff n Golden want him...cause he signs with UM, he immediately becomes KR/ backup running back..with Yearby redshirting, Crawford back to mainly SP duty with occasional Carries, and Gus Edwards moving to FB...just my opinion

What on earth makes you think Yearby would be redshirting? He's our #2 back the day he steps on campus.

1, I knw its a minor injury, but only if Cook comes, I think he will redshirt because of Cook's Versatility..he can do a lot more...and 2 they might see Yearby as more of workhorse back and he might not get the carries he needs with Duke still here...I just knw that Duke and Cook...speed kills, and we won't put so much into Coley playing WR/PR/KR...as u can see he was exhausted for the Pitt Game...but if he doesn't come, Yearby will definitely get pushed into that back up role sooner than later

Yearby broke his fibula... that is not a minor injury... it will take him some time... thats the same thing that happened to Malcolm Lewis last year and as you can see even he is bot 100% I as well broke my fibula last year and its still not 100% this is a 2 year injury...

Did you just say that that breaking a fibula is the same thing as dislocating your ankle and have it pointing the other direction?

He is very wrong. Non-displaced fibular fracture (or any fibular fracture for that matter) is the best you can hope for. No surgery is needed, just long leg cast for 5-6 weeks and full recovery is expected. Injuries that involve joint disruptions with ligament involvement are bad.
Long bones injuries without ligaments involvements heal well. The fibula is a skinny bone and not really the weight bearing bone of the lower leg. Tibula is. Malcome Lewis's injury is completely different. Much more complicated.

Miami followed up assistant in-home visits from FSU & UF with Cook by sending Golden. Will follow FSU & UF HC in-homes by getting him to OV.

some dude Joe Garcia posted that…is he legit?

Joseph yearby has a fracture not a break and it does not require surgery

A fracture is a break.

You're right. A fracture is a break of the bone. But there are different kinds of fractures. The simpler ones are the "hair-line" and the non-displaced fractures and those are easy to deal with and don't need surgery. They can be dealt with in the emergency department with just appropriate casting. Even many displaced fractures often can be "reduced" without surgery.

This battle for Cook the next few weeks is going to be interesting. FSU and UF have had in-home visits with him the last 2 days. Looks like Golden has had one or will tonight.
