The Work 10-23

Pete’s source is fine. Everyone knows who it is.

I wasn’t trying to call pete out. I was showing brick that the coaches were trying to get Joke down here for the OV weekend with everyone else, but he blew it off for Alabaga.

He didn’t blow it off... the coaches knew he wasn’t signing early so I’m sure they wanted the visit rescheduled at a later date

LOL - you don’t believe that

It’s common sense . If he ain’t signing early wouldn't you want to be the last school to see him before he signs?

No. The staff has chose that weekend for all the commits. Nesta and joyner are not signing early but they will be there.

Which is a wrong move imo. Not comfortable with any of our guys who aren’t signing early to be taking a visit that early in the process

Columbus players are apparently very flaky, which is unfortunate cause flaky also brings 22 point lead meldowns in 12 minutes

I really don't understand your logic here. For a kid who's been committed for about 2 years now to not sign early is very concerning, as is his consistent flirtation with Bama - whom Saban seems to have gone out of his way to make this kid a priority this cycle.

On top of that, the biggest recruiting weekend is the 15th, which Jobe decided would be better to go hang out in Alabama instead.

The one thing you keep glossing over is that Jobe's potential OV is in January when the CFB season is over. Saban could easily make this kid not go to his OV in Miami. It's been done before.

Getting the last official visit always and will always be important

It's really like talking to a brick wall. If Saban gets Jobe to flip on the 15th, it's possible that he doesn't even take his OV to Miami. Also, when you're going to OV this late in the cycle, you're looking to be flipped.

There isn't a single positive thing about the way this is going. I feel like kids like this just don't want to deal with the backlash they know is coming when the flip from the hometown, so they wait as long as they can....which just makes it worse.

Yep. If he were to commit to Bama back in April, he would've constantly got pressure to stick with the home town team. At the last minute, he can flip, sign his papers with Bama and he won't have to succumb to the same pressure.

This is what Pete wrote regarding Jobe on 10/23

"Jobe will be part of the official visitors group on December 16th weekend that the Miami staff has strategically designated for the Storm 18 class members. That will be their final pitch to prospects like Jobe and Nesta Silvera who have still not officially decided if they will sign early or wait until the normal first Wednesday in February. "

1. He is visiting Bama instead of us on a huge weekend with Storm 18.
2. he keeps posting pro- Bama stuff/ deleting pics on his social media with Richt ect.

I think there is too much smoke. Hopefully we can land Campbell and Surtian. If Jobe fails we can go after Huggins/Griffith as a good back up plan. Yet Im'm not worried because a duo of Frierson and Hall is still elite.

Don’t care about Jobe any more,.. whatever. Get on the train or get left behind homey...
