If Polendey was any good he would have played last weekend instead of a DE who has been playing TE for 4 weeks. When Patchan was out there bumbling around at TE against Syracuse that told me a lot about Polendey.

I'm still holding out hope because he's young, but you're probably right. Someone in a thread also mentioned that Patchan's dad was at the game because his team was honored at halftime or something which could also explain why he got burn, but I don't see Richt as the type to do something like that.

If Rick is playing daddy ball in a hotly contested conference game he should be fired and institutionalized immediately. People come up with the most idiotic **** theories imaginable on the internet.

I think it's more that he doesn't want to burn Polendey's RS for a few snaps because Irvin is in the doghouse.

If Irvin wasn't to come back that might change.

Polendey's RS was already burned earlier in the season.

Didn't a rule get passed that allows Freshman to play in up to 4 games and still retain their redshirt?
Or was that just one rule they were considering passing but haven't done yet - or was passed but doesn't apply until next year?

That's what I thought too. I thought I heard Richt in passing say that he has four games to figure out who to redshirt, but I could be mistaken.

I know it was being discussed. But thinking about it, I don't think it's passed yet. But I know just about every coach supports it.

Nice sentiment and all, but people can't help themselves. If the mods haven't put a stop to this problem, despite it repeating itself over and over, I am not sure they genuinely want it to come to an end. Like you said, he created pages of responses and views, that is good for the owners whether it causes you to read through trash or not.

What wild and magnificent speculation. I don't get a dime from this site and I never will. I don't get more information, I don't get better access. I do it for the lolve. People who create problems are nothing but a headache for mods, and yet if they aren't breaking rules there's nothing we can do.

If I can ignore a litany of posters whose opinions I personally and consistently find awful, then so can everyone else. There's no page view conspiracy or shadow directive to ensure certain posters stick around. I specifically stepped into this thread to stop "pages of responses and views" that were off topic, which disrupts that narrative completely.

If a poster is not initiatiting attacks on other posters or constantly detailing threads, if he's not trolling or posting inaccurate information, what on earth is the problem we're supposed to "put a stop to" that ignoring him or her can't already solve.

Simply to address your final paragraph, here is a thought.

While it is hard to define "trolling", Brock frequently "trolls" in the way that he insults and demeans other posters (and, sure, maybe he falls a bit short of a "personal attack"). When people then critique him, he launches a barrage of insults and "FOH" tough-guy nonsense. Brock is the typical guy with a glass jaw, he shatters once you hit him with something solid.

Yes, it is possible to "ignore" him, either willfully or with technology. And I believe that works with someone who only occasionally posts. But Brock's post count is so high, and he insists on posting in nearly every thread, such that it is hard to avoid responding to his more outrageous arguments.

Thus, I would only say that none of us have a "fetish" with Brock, it is the other way around. Brock didn't go to UM, he doesn't live in Florida, he is obsessed with UM sports (which is fine), and he is obsessed with inserting his opinion into nearly every conversation on this board.

I completely understand that his behavior may not be something that earns him a ban, but I don't think that everyone else is to blame either.

LOL are you ****ing kidding me? Brock can certainly be overly aggressive at times, but don't you think maybe, just MAYBE, that is a direct product of everyone constantly coming at him? Of course he's no innocent victim, but for a VERY long time people have quoted fairly neutral posts of his and randomly attacked him. Actually, that used to happen incessantly and he only really started fighting back and being aggressive more recently.

Maybe not by your hands specifically, but the poor guy has been the resident punching bag around here for years regardless of the content of his posts.

Stop the nonsense and try to differentiate between a personal attack and a critique of someone's posts.

Nobody "comes at a guy" for no reason. I agree that sometimes it can be imbalanced, with multiple guys critiquing one guy, but this STARTS with Brock. It may CONTINUE on some of his more benign posts, but that guy has an enormous ratio of garbage posts to worthwhile posts.

If he can't handle the criticism, and feels the need to lash out, he needs to figure it out for himself. He could change his posting style, he could post less, but calling people names and telling them to "FOH" doesn't make things better for him.

That's all.

Twist it however you'd like, my friend. I have watched the dynamic between Brock and many of the posters on this board unfold for a long time, and I feel pretty **** confident standing by my account of how things have happened. As I said, Brock is definitely overly aggressive these days, but anyone who says he wasn't relentlessly attacked for quite a while before he even started firing back is a stone-cold liar. Not my problem if that doesn't make all the internet tough guys on this board feel better about themselves, because it's just a fact. I won't be going more deeply into this because it's already hijacked yet another thread.

Nice to see Brock's mom on the board ^

And maybe if you hadn't breast fed him into his teens, he would be easier to deal with

**Canes fans were once again questioning Josh Jobe’s commitment yesterday when he posted an Alabama picture. I warned months ago that he would continue to post these edits, but it would not mean anything about his pledge with Miami – that remains the case.

Checked in with a source very close to him today, who said that Jobe messaged him earlier today saying how excited and ready he was to get back down to Miami for good. He will be in town during Notre Dame week and plans on being at the Coral Gables campus throughout the week as well. As of now, it does not look like he will be able to enroll early at UM (which was not expected), but there is a good chance that he signs during the early period of December 20-22.

Jobe will be part of the official visitors group on December 16th weekend that the Miami staff has strategically designated for the Storm 18 class members. That will be their final pitch to prospects like Jobe and Nesta Silvera who have still not officially decided if they will sign early or wait until the normal first Wednesday in February.

**Today I posted the midseason highlights of 2020 RB Don Chaney, Jr. and with good reason. If you haven’t checked it out yet, he has all the makings of a 5-star prospect and top 15-type player in his class. Multiple sources have told me in the last week that Chaney, Jr. could be making a commitment in the near future – with the Hurricanes holding a solid lead. Chaney has been to nearly all of the Miami games this season and was out there with his father on Saturday for the Syracuse game.

**An update on the early enrollment status of the tight end class: Will Mallory, who was back in action last week after missing most of the season with injury, told me today that his school does not allow early enrollment so that is a no-go for him. His welcome back game was a monster performance that you can watch below.

Brevin Jordan, the Canes’ other tight end commit in the class, is also not allowed to enroll in January due to Bishop Gorman’s rules. Miami’ spring depth at the position will be an interesting topic of conversation considering Chris Herndon is graduating and Michael Irvin, Jr.’s status is currently in the air.

Both Jordan and Mallory are planning on signing during the December period, however.

**DT commit Nesta Silvera has turned up his play in a big way the last two games – with back-to-back 3 sack performances against Cardinal Gibbons and Jackson. He has 56 tackles and 7 sacks in 7 games this season. Silvera told me tonight that he also plans on being there for the December 16th weekend. Miami is attempting to get top defensive back target Tyson Campbell there for that weekend as well, which is very possible.

**Mike Harley is dealing with what can be categorized as a high ankle sprain – the severity of it remains to be seen. He will practice this week without contact and hopes to give it a go on Saturday. If the game was today, it would be unlikely that he played.

Pete - you might want to find a new source for Jobe and Columbus in general.

Pete’s source is fine. Everyone knows who it is.

I wasn’t trying to call pete out. I was showing brick that the coaches were trying to get Joke down here for the OV weekend with everyone else, but he blew it off for Alabaga.

He didn’t blow it off... the coaches knew he wasn’t signing early so I’m sure they wanted the visit rescheduled at a later date

It’s common sense . If he ain’t signing early wouldn't you want to be the last school to see him before he signs?

it is what it is. Pete's info was probably correct at the time. things change. clearly for jobe something changed between November and now. he went from tweeting pics of himself and mark richt(which he has since deleted) to all alabama stuff.

Yea I’m sure our staff is happy to find out from his coach that when/If he OV’s here now it will be as an Alabaga commit.....If he does OV I hope he at least leaves SOME of his Baga wear at home.Try not to be that conspicuous...

We'll see if Jobe takes his OV to Miami in January. One thing Saban is known for is getting recruits to cancel/not show up for OVs.

No. The staff has chose that weekend for all the commits. Nesta and joyner are not signing early but they will be there.
