The U Part 2- Ratings Flop?

typical sequel, still glad he made it, shoulda focused more though on ACC transition impact and collection of talent at specific positions

It gives the administration perfect chance to hire Butch right now and upstage the entire playoff deal. Non-talk about THE U would follow.

Maybe I'm just a despondent fan but part II was ok, nothing special. Truth be told, I'm tired of being a has been program. Tired of looking to our past for any semblance of joy or success. Lastly the current state of our program doesn't garner much excitement. Had we won 10+ this season, the ratings would have been much higher.

Fact is we are a dead program and nothing short of a president that wants to win or that will leave athletics alone will bring this program back. Its our last and only hope.

I am entering the Acceptance stage of grief.

I'm with ya. I'm no fan of Cohen but still should have been able to at least get semi fired up to watch the thing. I couldn't even do that. Turned down invites to watch parties and sat alone on a Monday morning to view it.

I'm not sure if everyone realizes how freakin' pivotal the choice of the next president is to the future of the program. The BoT ain't changing and the days of us succeeding in spite of the pres and administration are long gone. We need an ally in the next person and all that really should take is a person that understands the value in economics alone of what they potentially could wake from its slumber. I just have no faith that we'll even luck into someone like that.

We've become Notre Dame.

We used to mock them for living extensively in the past. Now that's all we have because under our current leadership we have no future.

not that surprised considering the time slot and time of year. also this one wasn't as interesting. the U part one had the race riots, drugs, history of miami becoming a melting pot and how the canes helped bring everyone in the community together. the U part 2 seemed like more of an infomercial. I feel like it didn't reveal as much about the program as did the first one and with all the coverage of the shapiro scandal, there wasn't much left to cover

it was the same time slot as the first one. the story wasnt all that great compared to the first one. also, imo corbin shouldve spent more time on the 01 season. he went through the entire season really quickly just to get to the drama that was OSU and the scandal.

ESPN came to Corben and asked him to make the sequel.

It wasn't for his own "selfish gain".

Not true. He pitched it multiple times and only got the green light from ESPN in the last year. Everything is about personal gain with that guy. Go ask Kevin Brinkworth.

everyhitng he does is for his selfish gain. dont believe otherwise. he FINALLY got green lighted in MAY and began filming then.
