The U is dead(basically) . And Manny is the final nail.

I said it way back in February that this hiring of a HC was a head scratcher (really wasn’t when you understand the environment of UM). Yet, I looked at the roster and said okay the UF game would tell the tale. No need to wait beyond that. It was all that was needed. Your first year with comparable talent and a veteran defense to do battle against the coach who fired you. He came up small. Diaz continued to fulfill what I expected. A rapid and perpetual decline from that game on. Yet the Miami fans and posters here shunned me. And I saw people continuously like the last half decade make the same useless and clueless arguments about why their favorite player wasn’t playing or what sorry QB with no leadership we have should play. (Williams is the best, Perry is 2nd, and Tate is total trash. End of that). This staff benching a Rousseau who has 12 sacks for the first four games basically for a 6th guy with no knees who’s “family” has strong Florida football ties was all you needed to know. Yet, People said I was terrible and hadn’t had a clue when we won 2 fluke games in a row only to drop later ones to even worse foes. (Hello FIU). Firing the OC won’t help. The problem is deeply rooted. If you have been around the Hecht you’d fully understand it. This was what those in charge envisioned and are okay with. A entitled, who you know, subpar unit that is more glamour than Substance. SunTanU/SouthBeachU replicas from start to now with our glory years sandwiched in between. The head guy is the problem. Nothing more. Unless a miracle occurs and this weak pampered BOT accidentally find our next Howard or Jimmy (and it will be by accident similar to how Richt was), then the U is dead. All we are doing is pouring water on a dead flower.
I knew when they hired Right a fired HC it was over. Then we got a blessing he stepped down and in the same day my happiness went straight to the garbage. Only UM could say we are searching and doing an intense search....then bang in less than 24 hours they hire an unqualified rookie HC who couldn't recruit.

Lane Kiffin, alpha.

Oakland Raiders: 5 - 15 (fired in October.)
Tennessee: 7-6 (slunk off to a desperate USC)
USC: 28 - 15 (fired in September and left on the curb)
FAU: 26-13
Ole Miss: 6-5

I don't know if Lane is the answer or not. I do have to address this though.

The NFL? What's that have to do with anything and when were the Raiders last relevant? That franchise is a dumpster fire.

USC would probably take him over Helton. Pretty average results there since their good years.

FAU, best coach they have ever had and it isn't even close. Finished 1st two out of three season. His overall record there drawfs anyone else.

Ole Miss. I wouldn't judge anyone on their record there. Traditional 6 or 7 win school. He's got them moving in the right direction it looks like.

Why don’t you just add Saban, dumbo and Dabo to that list.

Cause aside from Clarke they all have an equal chance of coming here.
Bull****! See that’s your problem, when people calm out your nonsense on here all you say is no way they would ever come here because blah blah blah! Smh luke fickle group of five would come
Here in a minute for a chance to win big in the power
Five, same goes for Gary Patterson as tcu is about to be group of five again and Matt cambell
As well because ISU is also about to
Be group of five as well. Why do you constantly toot against us getting a solid real program building coach? Why do you continue to want us to be coached by the likes of Shannon abd Manure so we stay a middle of the road acc team in the worst division in CFB? Why don’t you want us to get a good coach that gives us a chance to be successful and win the acc? Why do you hate Miami football?

Oh sorry, I just posted his terrible record as a HC. I figured that'd be enough of a point. My bad.
He was like 12 when he started. He’s come a long ways. I could cherry pick plenty of coaches Saban, Dabo etc who didn’t set the world on fire out of the gates. (Or in the nfl)

We can disagree on his potential. No big deal.

Campbell just turned down $70 million from the Lions to stay at iowa state dude. Every indication is he’s very happy there.

I swear you’re like a 12 year old, jumping from jimbo to Campbell just today. You have zero grasp on the financial realities of what’s going on in the game. You just keep throwing out names like there’s a chance it’ll happen if we fire James or Diaz.

Calm down and grow up.

Keep rooting for us to be mediocre my friend. I wish you well on your journey into football purgatory along with your main guys James and manny.

Lane isn’t leaving Ole Miss for Miami. You guys can forget that dream ever happened
**** yes he would. His only competition is Clemson right in the middle of the hot bed for skill players. Add in who he is and his persona, he’d ******* skip to town.

Lmao. Don’t worry, tomorrow there will be another coach we have zero chance of ever getting for you to want.

You all trying to bury the program can KMA. Sick of the complaints as I've heard them about every coach we ever had. Saban was desperation hire, Schnellenberger was a convenient hire from the Fins with no real expectations from both of us Miami Hurricane fans, then he won a championship and left. JJ from Oklahoma State, what a stupid hire how is he going to deal with tough Miami kids and then the same with Erickson a whitey tightie guy from Washington plus an alcoholic and left a huge mess that Davis cleaned up Coker was a joke from the beginning and proved it. Randy was not ready but was thought to be a good hire and sucked. Golden got more positive HYPE then any of them and what a disaster. And those were through our dynasty, you cannot imagine how in danger our program was prior to Lou Saban, we almost shut it down. Websites like this have made being a fan intolerable listening to all the complaints get old quick. The criticism of Diaz is so lame it is ridiculous. He has fixed so much of what was wrong and is not finished. With support from fans like the ones that post here, who would even want the job. Banner flying garbage again and again, ignorant analysis, SAD! Our team just lost to a superior team that now dominates as we did but that won't last. Every dog has his day, ours is in the past but also in our future. Miami Hurricanes typically play with passion and as long as I see that effort I am on the bandwagon and I saw it Saturday. We easily should've had 2 more TD's yet we would still have lost so if we scored those everything is okay? We are the same team with or without those two scores. Nothing went in our favor, that's football, deal with it!

You that say the program is dead, mourn and then just go away. I (we) will be here for the resurrection and then you will jump back on the bandwagon because that is what you negative fans do.

This website needs more fraggle and less of the rest of you phools.

Manny’s job is N jeopardy this year..if he looses to mediocre team like App state and wins only 4 or 5 games..he’s done..he talks the talk but he doesn’t walk the walk..Politician Manny..do me a favor and stop listening to his Politician practice and post game interviews.. I know I have..to much smoke he’s blowing up our as..the players aren’t getting it..someone or something needs to flip the switch to the On position because it’s N the Off position and its Dark…the football program is sinking FAST..this year will B hard to watch if No one steps up..on both side of the ball

The loss against Alabama was disappointing because we didn't maximize the use of our talent and we did not play the best players. For example, Chaney should be RB1 and he was way more effective than Cam in that game. The QB sneak & three straight runs up the gut for no gain were examples of poor playcalling and/or execution. The tackling was embarrassingly bad.

However, Manny has some great young talent on the roster (LT, James Williams, Avantae, the young WRs, RBs, Jake Garcia, Borregales, Arroyo and others). We need to recruit the heck out of LB, DE (badly need some difference makers at the DE position) and OL. If we continue to strengthen our recruiting and land studs at the LB, DE and OL positions, Manny will succeed at Miami. He's addressed many previous issues head-on and fixed them successfully (upgraded staff considerably), kicking game problems (FG & punting) now completely solved -- stellar actually, DB recruiting is clearly trending up in a big way etc.

The success or failure will largely now be determined by:

1) Recruiting at LB, DE and OL. Needs to be exceptional (not just good)

2) The play of the young QBs (Garcia and TVD)

3) His W-L record the next two years.

I think the strong foundation being laid in recent times will only get stronger, if this season is a good one and recruiting continues to improve every year.
