Yes Lane is doing what he does on the outside, but he keeps his teams hyper focused. Most of the stunts he pulls are to intentionally to shock people and to create attention. Hes clearly a believer that any publicity is good publicity. It doesnt reflect on his team.

Lane Kiffin is such an elite coach, his former team in the playoffs did better without him than with him in the regular season.

This is all theater to scare the rest of the SEC into compliance. Greg Sankey is a clown.

He’s not wrong, though. The SEC is handling this the right way and with a lot of respect. You can’t allow crooked state politicians who are seeking reelection to make decisions for an entire conference, nor can you allow individual programs to make up their own rules that go against SEC regulations. I’d be willing to bet all the P4 conferences are supporting the SEC behind the scenes because this is about sending a message to the government and the ego maniacs that there have to be rules and some level of order.

The SEC may be bluffing, but I assure you LSU would be the one paying the biggest price if they actually got kicked out. Just look at what happened with Texas Tech. If LSU gets blackballed, I wouldn’t be surprised if programs across the country refuse to schedule them moving forward. That would create a much bigger problem for LSU than whatever punishment the SEC hands down.
