ia it just me or do you guys find the ap and use today polls really ridiculous.
How is Alabama 3rd but ole miss 7/9 when ole miss beat them?
I realize with the college playoff system it doesn't matter but, they'll influence it whether we like it or not.
Auburn is 4th when they barely beat Kansas state and lost to miss St.
Too 4 should be fsu, miss St, notre dame and kstate.
This sec bias is bull****, of course sec teams are gonna stay high if they keep getting ranked high.
If there are three sec teams in the playoffs I'll stop watching NCAA ball.

Alabama gets a free pass to lose a game every year since they start at 1 or 2. It's a joke, just see how a few years ago they lost to LSU in the regular season and still got another shot at them in NC game.

Alabama can safely lose 2, not win a conference championship and still play for the title, every year. It's the nick saban effect.

The playoff is going to be a disaster. Are 2-3 loss teams going to get in just for winning their conference over 1-2 loss teams? Are we going to end up in a situations where two 2 loss teams are playing in the championship.

It's as ridiculous as playing for the title and not even winning your own conference.

:suspicion:

op mad bama is in front of team they lost to

op wants kstate in front of team they lost to

Yeah I am... And I appreciate you saw the flaw in my logic, but kstate in my mind beat auburn in every way other then on the scoreboard, and they should have missed 3 fgs and that dumb receiver gets hit in the head with the ball and goes in and auburn dbs hands.
Regardless, the big 12 is a good conference this year, West Virginia, kstate, Oklahoma and Baylor are very good teams.
I think the pac12 and big 12 are the best conferences this season personally.

You lost me at Pac 12. Which was actually pretty far into the post.

PAC 12 is not the second best. You have UCLA struggling despite starting the season in the top 10, I believe. Oregon is Oregon but they usually lose their first game of the year to Stanford, but they lost to Arizona instead, which means Stanford can knock off Oregon and end the Pac 12's hope of being in the playoff. Stanford isn't what they have been in the past few years. ASU seems pretty good, we'll see. Utah, USC, and Arizona are meh, still unproven.

SEC West, alone, is better than all the other conferences.

The fact that there are already polls before any games are played completely fvcks up any semblance of it being legitimate .

It's funny. LSU and Alabama suck this year, but they were both preseason top 10. Then, when Miss State and Ole Miss beat these teams, all of a sudden all 4 teams are great. It's hysterical. ESPN is laughing all the way to the bank.

I wouldn't say either one sucks, at all. They just aren't performing at their normal level.

NCAA and the media loving every bit of this. The amount of coverage the playoffs are going to get is going to be epic. The ratings for the first release the playoff poll on Tuesday are going to be through the roof. Controversy and discussion about who should be ranked where is part of what makes college football what it is.

And yet, in Bama's case at least, you'd be hard pressed to bet against them against almost anyone ranked in the top 10.

Because Alabama lost at Ole Miss on a fluke fumble on a kickoff and would most likely annihilate them on a neutral field or at home. They're the better team and the way they look since that loss, they deserve their ranking. They're the best team in college football right now. They'll jump FSU when the smack Miss St at home too.

Bama has a good loss, but doesn't have any really good wins. So IMO, they DEFINITELY shouldn't be ahead of Auburn. They shouldn't be ahead of Oregon, Kansas St, and especially Michigan st if they beat tOSU next week, they should be too.
This is my ranking if I were apart of CFB Playoff Committee:
1. Mississippi St
2. FSU
3. Auburn
4. Oregon
5. Kansas St
6. Michigan St
7. Ole Miss
8. Alabama
9. Notre Dame
10. Baylor/TCU

Yeah, it's not like they almost lost to Arky or anything.

Oregon is fraudulent every year, loses to Arizona at home and people have them in the top 4. No idea why they get the love they do.

I'm not basing my rankings on what teams have done in previous years thats why. If I did FSU would be #1, and Auburn/Bama at #2/3.
But last year's results don't AND shouldn't have any impact on these rankings. FSU hasn't looked great, but they are one of 2 undefeated teams right now (Marshall doesn't count).

Have you watched Oregon play this year? Where are there good wins?

Seems to me your rankings are based on negating the SEC while propping teams like MSU, Oregon, and KSU. I hate the SEC but they are by far the best conference. Are we impressed by MSUs schedule?
