The Past Decade: Revealed

Miami wins - we were better, and we have a great leader.
Miami loses to a top team - they were better, and our great leader can't be expected to beat better teams
Miami loses to a lesser team - man, the post-season sure is random, our great leader had some bad luck

So sad that this is what our program has come down to. There is an excuse for everything.

So our loss to Arizona was "random" since we were the higher seed.

Their pitcher threw strikes and ours didn't.

If we played them on another day or with another pitcher we probably win.

Why? Because we're the better team.

The fact that you're still asking these questions proves how clueless you are about baseball and this tournament.

but there's no answer for why we can't ever beat the host, even though hosts have dropped like flies in the last ten years.

The answer is that Oklahoma State beating South Carolina in 2016 has nothing to do with us beating Louisville in 2013.

Maybe this Oklahoma Staet team is better than our 2013 team and South Carolina is worse than Louisville.

Absence of something doesn't mean it can't happen.

And frankly it's not that important. The fact that you're using this argument is more proof of how desperate you are after flopping the last two years in your predictions.

Yeah, I'm clueless. LOL. Time to open the curtain, maybe? LMAO.

Maybe some of us know more than you and are curious as to why that random, unlucky pitching performance or that random offensive drought always seems to hit as soon as we play someone better than Boston College or Virginia Commonwealth. ALWAYS. EVERY YEAR. INDISPUTABLE.

It is frightening to think that Jim is sitting there this summer thinking that everything is just fine. And that is the whole point of all of this. Our teams are not being developed to compete for a championship, and it starts by believing all of the numbers being produced by a useless RPI and SOS. We are not that good, and we continue to prove it every time an opponent punches us in the mouth. Boom. Down we go.

Why did you only pick that one? Because there are many, many more glaring examples of teams going on the road and knocking off supposed superheroes. The fact that we can't ever do it is a red flag.

We played a bunch of teams better than Boston College and VCU and we did just fine. Won those games. Scored runs. Pitched well.

When the season ends we will have the most wins vs. the top 25.

But we ALWAYS come up short against teams better than Boston College and VCU.

Get a grip.

Whoa, you skipped the third one.

Please don't refer to you glorious regular season championships and record vs. top 25. No one cares about that stuff. We lose when it matters.

Record vs #1 seeds (roughly top 20 in RPI) - 3-12 (.200)

We lose to them when it counts.

It is frightening to think that Jim is sitting there this summer thinking that everything is just fine.

You could have said this in 1998.

He didn't make any changes during our run from 1994-98 even though we didn't win it and went 1-2 several times.

He stuck with a good process and it was the right call.

Uh, what? Why do you think you know what changes he did or did not make during that time? That's a comical post.

Except you care when you predict us to lose to Louisville or when you want to point out our record against Florida.

See what I mean.

The regular season is meaningless unless it supports your agenda. Then it's telling.

This is also in a thread where you pointed out how bad our road record is against higher seeds. So therefore we need to be a host and/or national seed to help our chances.

But 'no one cares about that stuff'!

Totally incoherent rambling.

You vacillate from one side to the other more than anybody I've seen.
