7-on-7s going on right now.

From 247's Ryan Bartow:

- "Tyrek Cole is shutting down all comers on cole island so far."

- "Cole just jumped a hitch and almost picked one off."

247's Josh Newberg:

- "George Campbell gets across the face of Tyrek Cole but drops the slant.

Next play Cole jumps the route but drops the easy int."

- "Jaquan Johnson makes a great play in cover 2. Knocks a sure catch out of the hands of Trent Irwin."

- "Tyrek Cole all over George Campbell on a deep ball that falls incomplete."

Gator colors aaaaaaaaaggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh

It sickens me to hear that a player of JJ's caliber from down here is favoring the Gators. I don't get how anyone in their right mind would want to play for that team right now with Muffcramps at the helm. I thought JJ had a good head on his shoulders. I know NSD is a long ways away, but this still disappoints me. I anticipated him being the Duke Johnson of this class.

I'm not sweating him...both us and the gumps might have new coaching starting next year.

people need to stop saying that. if he's not 100% sure, he owes it to himself to take his time and make his decision when the time is right. As of right now, Scott Patchan is the "Duke Johnson" of the class. 2016 is the class that isn't short on leaders. This 1 still leaves a lot to be desired.

A lot of people here seemed to anticipate that, so you weren't alone. Goes to show how rare a Duke Johnson-type leader truly is.

It's kind of amazing how this class has played out thus far. Shortly after NSD 2014 passed...

- Ridley and SBB were viewed as heavy Cane leans.
- Jaquan and Irvin were viewed as heavy Cane leans.
- No one thought we had any shot at landing Scarlett.
- Bruce was saying things like "and they wonder why no one wanna play there" about Miami in response to the lateness of our offer to Tarvarus McFadden.

As it turns out, Scarlett commits to Miami at The Opening, says he won't be taking any visits, and wants to be a leader of the class by helping us recruit top local talent. Bruce commits to Miami later that night to join his best friend and wants to spend the next year and a half sending the message that if the top talent in South Florida stayed home, we'd never lose.

Meanwhile, Ridley and SBB committed elsewhere a long time ago and it seems there's increasing skepticism in regards to our chances of landing Jaquan and Irvin.

Shows how much can change in just a few months.

Sickens me as well, but until we win anything of signifigance its going to be this way with certain players. Muschamp is a good defensive-coach, not so much of a head coach, and has a great defensive coaching staff. Simple pitch really, "You can be an All-American and be apart of a good secondary"

I think JJ is waiting to see if our defense makes strides this year. I am no fan of our DC however there were way too many plays not made by our players last year that I expect to change this year. One we lost a lot of non-miami caliber athletes at safety, outside linebacker and DE from that defense that are replaced by better athletes. Second, we still had really talented freshman that were still a year off that will progress. Like Quan who had winston dead to right last year. This year he makes that sack.

Stampini posted a pic of our newest 2015 commit, Jordan Scarlett. Beast.

****..Scarlett looks NFL ready...at 5'10 200 pounds running a 4.30 in the 40??? then a 4.38 the second 40? thats 1st round talent..plus this year it gets a little harder in competition playing at St. Thomas...University School played a few cupcakes on their schedule the last few years before getting blown out by Booker T in the playoffs and Central in the regular season

A few more 7-on-7 notes from 247...

- George Campbell goes 1-on-1 with Cole and snags down a 20-yard gain.

- Jordan Scarlett wide open down the seam, Francois overthrows him.

- Dexter Williams takes a short catch and runs 35 yards for a score.
