Miami Offense vs Ole Miss Defense

Statistically Ole Miss has the #2 total offense in the country. With that said they struggled with Kentucky, Florida, LSU, Washington State and until the 4th quarter, they were having some trouble with Mississippi State.

Now, they are one of the better offense we'll face all year (obviously, statistically the best. North Texas is #1), but USF has the #3 offense, FSU has the #8 offense, Notre Dame has the #14 offense, Texas A&M has the #23 offense, Ohio State has the #26 offense.

I trust our defense. It'll be a struggle and I don't think it'll be easy, but I think Ole Miss will have to play a near perfect game (or we play a Louisville type game) for them to win.

As if Ohio State doesn't travel well. We had about 30k in Dallas. We'll have the same in Glendale. OSU crowd 0was a non-factor.

Will we? That's expecting a lot of fans to spend a lot of money again. Most Ole Miss fans probably drove to the UGA game and didn't stay overnight. There are a lot of OM fans/alum in New Orleans/LA. Now, with that said, even if OM has a lot more fans I don't think it'll matter, especially after playing at A&M.

My totally uneducated, not having watched the games, and only looking at the stats line guess is they played coverage and didn’t bring extra pressure. Would explain why he couldn’t complete passes but it correlates with his best rushing games of the season. I think Miamis advantage over most these teams is we can get home with 4, and limit his run damage with a spy. I am going to watch the lsu game as they have a good defense and I am interested in seeing what they did right or wrong.
F the lawyers. Let the Ol Miss players transfer this week.

OSU made some nice adjustments at half . Going bigger and more 12 personnel . Which allowed te’s and rb’s to slow down our pass rush. It also was a threat to going max protection which would slowed down blitzes for fear of getting hit up top. Ole Miss isn’t capable of this , it’s nit their style . They’re all about space and tempo. The cb injuries is my biggest fear and them having some things in common with UL and SMU. Now Oregon and Indiana is capable of the adjustments OSU made.

Interested to see what Golding does. Their run defense is average. Does he throw numbers and make Beck beat him? If he does there will be guys running free like the FSU game. Or does he not change anything and try to blitz every 3rd down and hope they get a few stops.

Don’t get me wrong, Ole Miss has an elite offense. But don’t let that final score fool you. They scored 19 points in 45 minutes. Chambliss made a **** ton of throws on broken plays and UGA had zero pass rush. Stop the big play, win the turnover battle, and we win.
They blitzed Beck all game last year and beat UGA easily.

Everyone talking about how great Chambliss is vs Beck against Georgia. I'd much rather the players hear how good Chambliss is for the next week.
