The Ohio State Thread

IIRc, he played most of the game against IU. The starting RG was no good, fwiw, so if this is his backup, that's definitely a weak spot. Whole right side is the Achilles heel of that line.
They say this backup is better and they are happy the starter is out.

But again, that could be just Ohio Taint arrogance.

See my response to @Hurracanes, but I clearly wasn't comparing OSUs run defense to A&Ms. We run blocked great against A&M. Hence, if we repeat that against OSU we will be able to run the ball against them. Gonna be a lot harder, because of how much better OSU's run defense is, but that was an impressive as **** performance by our OL and Co against A&M. I just think we shouldn't wave the white flag before the game against OSU and say we can't run on them between the tackles cause they're too good there.
OSU linebackers are the best in the country. Makes those Texas Tech linebackers look like JV players.

Which will make beating them that much sweeter.

This game comes down to one thing for me. Dawson/Beck vs Patrica.
Our defense is going to be fine. We can hold them under 20.
Dawson's gameplan was pure dogshlt vs aTm and he said as much. I want to see us get back to the way we looked vs ND when we were throwing it downfield and to our backs in the flat. Don't make the whole gameplan gadgets and duo.
Their edges are effort guys. We gotta sustain our blocks longer because 92 doesn't quit on plays and gets most of his production that way. Big boy in the middle is hard to move. Keep him moving horizontal and when he's subbed out, hit em with duo. Their backup interior is not impressive

I love the irony. 23 years ago we were the defending national champions, complete on both sides of the ball, an 11'point favorite. Ohio State had a terrific defense but average to slightly above average offense. It's as though the scripts have been flipped.
Let’s hope the score does ….first thing I’m gonna look to see is to make sure Terry Porter is on the officiating crew…

We all realize that in the 10 games OSU has lost this decade they have been outrushed in all of them? Often by quite a lot too. Is it gonna be easy to run the ball against them? **** no. Do we need to run the football against them to win? **** yes.

Edit: in their 10 losses this decade their opponents have run for 191 yards/gm and 5.1 ypc.
