We all realize that in the 10 games OSU has lost this decade they have been outrushed in all of them? Often by quite a lot too. Is it gonna be easy to run the ball against them? **** no. Do we need to run the football against them to win? **** yes.

Edit: in their 10 losses this decade their opponents have run for 191 yards/gm and 5.1 ypc.
What about the Mario game? 👀

I'll try to check and see how many games there were that teams ran well against them but still lost and why, but it's pretty clear if you want to beat Ryan Day OSU team a necessary condition is that you have to successfully run the ball against them.

Pretty sure IU had the least amount of rushing yards in a win against them with 34 for 118, but their two RBs both averaged over 4 ypc.

I think if we run for 150+ we are gonna win the game.

Has anyone checked on Jacory's eligibility?o_O I'm sure he's got some time left if Beck isn't working out.

What is he? 38 years old now?

**** Cardale Jones, by the way. That goofy MFer is talking a lot of crap on Twitter. Hate him more than Galloway.
I remember going to bills training camp and QBs and WRs were running routes on air in the red zone. This guy throws a ball literally 15 yards above the receiver head and goes through the upright… the coaches made him run 3 laps😂. He got cut the next morning

I’m going to be lucky enough to be in Miami on the 31st. Is there a best place in North Miami area for a watch party. I’m ready to ring in the New Years the right way.

How important were the tight ends in those games? The linebacker corps, especially Styles, seem pretty next level. That could be an important key to a win. Excited about the Fletcher and Styles matchup

Good win. Celebrate tonight. Work in the morning…

Like A&M, I don’t know much about this team other than that they beat a lot of softies. Post in this thread thoughts about our upcoming game…
Ohio State is a very talented team. We will need to be as sound in terms of discipline that we were in the Aggies game.

We will need to develop some kind of run game to control the line of scrimmage and keep Beck out of 3rd and long. We need to mix in some Pringle with runs on outside and feed Fletcher in between the tackles. Maybe do a wheel route with Pringle in pass game. Use our playmakers to our advantage.

I am hoping we can get something out of Trader and Moore besides Toney. Marion and Lofton will need to play well also. I bet Ohio State will try to bracket Toney a lot of the game so we need to be prepared for that.

I believe this game will also be won or lost in the trenches. OSU has some superior players at some spots but I think we may be better on both lines.

If we can limit or have 0 turnovers and limit pre-snap penalties, i think we can hang in there and maybe pull it out at the end.

I have confidence in Hetherman to mix in some coverages to help against J Smith and I think our pass rush can do similar to the Buckeyes QB that we did against Reed. How our front four does against their Oline will dictate what other pressure Hetherman may have to bring.

We have to stop their run game. This will determine a big part of the game at the line of scrimmage.

I am a die hard canes fan but am trying to be objective too. We can win I believe but it won't be easy and we have to bring our A game.

One game at a time. Go Canes!

Let's do this!

CJ can eat in this game. I can see him having a ND type of performance

That cornerback, #3, was getting eaten up the whole game. I totally agree, though, CJ might be most likely to have a coming out game.

If Dawson has any sense, he doesn't throw any screens in this game at all and attacks them Downfield
