This is more like the "good old days."
We not only have to beat our opponents, we also have to beat the refs.

The entire ball has to be out the end zone for it NOT to be a safety in that situation. Regardless of where QB is contacted…egregious callI was watching in a bar w/o sound so not sure if the refs or announcers explained... is the rule that where the contact is initiated is where the QB is down? That is the only thing that could possibly make that call make sense.

Yeah that’s what I believe the rule is. And also that the ENTIRE football needs to be over the white line, not just part of it.I was watching in a bar w/o sound so not sure if the refs or announcers explained... is the rule that where the contact is initiated is where the QB is down? One of the worst calls in the era where you can review plays. I said that about the GT fumble and somehow they topped it tonight. One of the worst calls I've ever seen in football. They are going to say that contact was initiated while he was at the one inch line which is complete horsecrap.
Didn’t even know a flag was thrown at the game. How can you throw offsides flag that late. You know right when the ball is snapped. Nothing to think about.Offside on flagg was bad too, flag was thrown about 5 seconds after the snap and he was clearly onside
Even that doesn’t make sense with where they spotted the ball smh…almost at the one yard lineI was watching in a bar w/o sound so not sure if the refs or announcers explained... is the rule that where the contact is initiated is where the QB is down? Even the halftime crew, with an FSU, Clemson, and VT alumni were shaking their heads at the officiating.
