We have a winner folks, and it’s Texas Texas Texas!!

They’re just so big, so bad, so mighty they got their **** rocked by Ohio State, Georgia, and friggen 4-8 Florida while BARELY squeaking past two other 5 win scrubs (Kentucky and Mississippi State) in OT last year but claim to have had such a TUFFFFF schedule and were the BESTEST OF THE 3 loss BESTIES! They beat an Oklahoma team who didn’t belong, and a Texas A&M team who already secured a CFP spot. If you want to brag about beating Vandy by 3 on your home turf, go ahead. The two big bad SEC programs they did beat got bounced out of the first round of the CFP relatively easy. I mean TEMU didn’t score a TD.

So someone other than ESECPN, tell me why we have to put Texas on everyone’s hype list? If Arch’s last name was Jones they’d be ranked #23 in the Coaches Poll. The media wants this particular SEC darling to succeed so bad it’s so obvious. The only surprise is they didn’t put them at #1 in this year’s preseason polls like last year.
 
Law of averages I assume. Eventually they have to hit.

Everyone is dogging Bama. Should be fun to watch.

Fucc Longhorns - their steaks suck - and those horns look stupid unless your name is Boss Hogg. Fucc cowboy hats. Fucc those women wearing those cowboy hats and cowboy boots in those short skirts (no, seriously, actually do it they look hot). Fucc Matthew McConaghy (actually I kinda like him but for the sake of this dumb rant, fucc him anyways). Fucc Austin. Fucc the old Big Eight. Fucc Darryl Royal. Fucc Burnt Orange. Texas will be formidable.

Manning took a step forward the second half of last season.
 
Talent. Cam Coleman, Ryan Wingo, Collin Simmons, Rasheem Biles, Trevor Goosby, Arch (if the last 6 games of the season weren't a mirage [152 passer rating, 14td-2int, 5 more tds rushing, team went 5-1] he's a Heisman finalist top 5 pick, famous last name or not).

Even drunk-Sark would have a tough time underperforming with 5 or 6 first rounders doing the legwork.
 
They are projected to have 12-18 players drafted in 2027, its not that much of a stretch to think they might be a top contender this year. And I wouldn't say Ohio ST rocked them last year (14-7 at OSU)- TX outgained them by over 100 yards- if Manning wasn't very average that game, they probably would have pulled it out.

I'm not a huge fan of Sark but Texas and Oregon are the only 2 rosters in the country I'd even consider trading for ours. Obviously not in reality because I'm a Hurricane, so I'm going to war with these boys 100 times out of 100, but in a hypothetical where I was a completely impartial observer who knew nothing about college football and I had a gun put to my head to win a football game. Miami, Oregon, and Texas have the 3 best rosters in the sport. ND, Taint, and UGA are just behind them. My $0.02.

I think Texas will be very, very good. They might have 5+ kids go in the first round. Probably will, actually. I think they beat Taint in Austin in Week 2 and probably go 11-1 in the regular season.

FIFY - But I didn't correct the spelling just to preserve for posterity.
 
I know people hate the kid- but its not his fault the hype behind him out paced his play last year- but as far as overall QB play- he wasn't horrible.


Manning- Passing 3163 yards 26 td 7 int 100 less attempts that Mensah
Rushing 399 yards 10 td


Mensah- Passing 3973 yards 34 td 6 int
Rushing -32 yards 1 td

And the best thing about this comparison is they were both playing with equally talented supporting casts, so the numbers are a good reflection of how they performed individually.
