The most critical play was in the 3rd quarter

yeah he’s super trash but to me that was a poor decision by King too. You gotta take what the defense gives you in that part of the field. Given the time and situation of the game, it was a bad idea to throw a 50/50 ball.
I would guess he isn't used to throwing in the rain, which caused him to underthrow the ball.

Why rely on bombs in the pouring rain?

King was losing grip on the ball. He doesn’t have Russell Wilson hands.

Venables had him tentative, confused, and throwing a wet ball late.

His offensive coordinator didn’t give him anything easy or creative to help him get a rhythm.

If we called plays for him like Clemson called for Lawrence, it would have been a respectable game.

They were up 21-10, I believe we recovered a Lawrence fumble near midfield.

at that point, even getting a field goal makes it a one possession game and we’re now in a very interesting game.

that interception was the back breaker
What I couldn't understand is how we had the ball in their territory at that point only down 11. Felt like we were down 50 but we legitimately could have made it a one score game with a FG.
