The loss is 1000000% on Mario, but I'd still like to discuss the fumble call

You get hosed when you do nothing about it.

A stronger, more competent Athletic Department would be taking the league to task over the blatant biased officiating we receive behind the scenes. That’s how corporate politicking works.

But see the stadium experience thread if you want a notion of our Athletic Department’s “competence”

Can anyone name the officials? We need to take notes and see when is the next time they will be in our games.

I question the game officials but also the ACC ‘command center’. They are in contact with game officials during reviews. Not only did the game officials blow the call, so did the Home Office.

Maybe they said, ‘if Miami is too dumb to kneel, let’s give Tech the ball, see what happens’.
I don't think most get it but after the Duke-Miami game the ACC suspended the officiating team because they didn't get the "right" result.

Even though the message was sent, they don't want to leave things to chance.

Not to mention, the ref on field who was looking right at it.

**** was rigged. You can't convince me otherwise.
I’m not putting the loss on the officials but we never seem to get fair game when the particular crew is reffing, seems like that was payback for the dukes fiasco.

We **** well would’ve been talking about it. But point taken. It doesn’t sting like this.

I don’t know what to make of TVD. Looked brilliant at times and sometimes literally throwing the ball into traffic like I’ve never seen. Three GT guys. I’d love to know what the difference is, maybe Lance breaks it down as hard as that is going to be to read.
TVD has the most important position on the team... we will not survive the season if he again this year show signs of bipolar reads and progressions. The defense for the most part played solid except for the last play.

if you are a grown man who purposely rigs games against college kids, you a scumbag loser. they were legit rigging that game.
Those thoughts cross my mind. But they easily could’ve overlooked the EP block over-center call? If they bet the points, why would they risk calling the fumble the wrong way? What’s their motivation?

The head official was Jeff Heaser.

He’s just a cheeseball.

But without the flag there, the game never gets close. Little things like that change a game’s complexion. That leads to 7 instead of a potential punt. We are up 10-0 late with the ball, TVD probably never tried to force it.

All games have what if’s, but this one takes the cake.

Probably a very bad call, but, tbh, we should have been up by a good amount by that time and none of it would have mattered. You're correct that this game is on our HC for the very most part

No question the loss ultimately falls on Cristobal. But one cannot simply gloss over the officiating against this program and it's been occurring since day 1 in this conference but yesterday was particularly scandalous.

Forget the elbow... Don Chaney's whole *** SHOULDER was on the ground before the Tech player even begins ripping at the ball. He was clearly down. Horrible call but they had 100 of those go against us throughout the course of the game which makes the call to run at the end even more egregious.

This response premised on: we should not have been in that position in the first place...

Now, yes. The elbow was clearly down. Yet, from the way the officiating had gone all game long, there was no sigh of relief when I saw Chaney's elbow hit the turf. I knew they weren't going to overturn that.

I called it after the A&M game, officiating was going to cost us down the stretch. And it did to open conference play in absurd fashion. It’s beyond ridiculous this happens with no accountability or blow back. Something has to be done.

Mauigoa roughing the passer was awful since he was being cut by the RB. They don't score a TD without that call imo.
Chip Block should have been called:

they let them get away with a hold on the 35 yard pass after it too.

As stated above by many, Mario owns the blame & officials were awful & at times lost control of the game. Nonsense started with Colby Young penalized for blocking DB out of bounds. Ticky tacky BS & sign of calls to come.

People keep stating that but enough is enough. We were in that position. We still got the lead. We take the knee, we win. No excuses.
