The JoJo thread

People hate on the kid before the drops, idk what it is.. I dont know if it is OP post or what but ALOT of people got polarizing takes on him for some reason. This thread was created BEFORE SMU game, :ibis-roflmao-sm3: .. You can miss me with that..

And I AGREE he needs to CATCH THE DAM BALL.. You got to go out there and produce, he not even at Yearby level in the equation lol.
He dropped balls and didn’t rise up before SMU you can miss me on that. He also had a suspension for being a knucklehead. People are on him for these things so miss me with your woe is me JoJo tears

He has some stuff during his recruitment that didn’t help

Just needs to get some consistency imo. Too much of a roller coaster but he is such a talented kid. He’s not like a headcase or anything dramatic like many others we’ve see over the years

Saying “immature” is kinda corny but looking at the rest of the team and how hard they work on every single play, when you don’t do that it really stands out on this team

This happens every year at good programs, talented players compete with other talented players and not everyone can play
Lists of first rounders in baseball never made the big leagues
I do think the staff likes him if not then he would have seen Nof action after the SMU game

Oh for sure, I think some of the frustration is we all can see the talent and want him to be that front line player but it hasnt happened. Idk wat it is but some players people want out the door asap and start making up stuff (Samson last year and saying during Cal week he need to leave he looks like Mope of sideline lol WHAT?!) so the lines get blurred whats real and not..

At this point he is what he is, inconsistent player who has opportunity to change narrative still but time is ticking LOUDLY. Thank Gawd for Malachi :u5pyxda:

No doubt. I try not to ever make comments on a kid personally because who knows what’s all going on with them. Plus who am I to lecture a kid about maturity? Thankfully social media didn’t capture every move of mine when I was 18-22 🤣

Wide Receiver is a position for workaholics.
To keep that speed and suddenness requires a degree of persistence that is rare.
Hand placement, focus, coordination. Fitness, blocking, etc
Playbook, rout tree, communication, IQ, blocking.

Offensive positions have a higher bust rate than defensive players.

Jojo has Malachi on his team and defensive players on the team that fit that workaholic mentality and their production shows.
If he can’t embrace that then I don’t see him contributing because he will get passed over. They just got 2 guys from the portal and one was originally at JUCO.
Some of these guys that weren’t highly rated come in with more than just a chip on their shoulders.

I don’t know what the issue has been with him.

People swear by his talent but if it isn't there on game day then it’s time to give someone else a chance.

He better get right mentally, physically, and emotionally, because this off season is gonna be extremely competitive at that position.

I have my doubts because he’s had a an entire season to be present. If he hasn’t had that light bulb click by now, after the gauntlet we just went through and the stage that is set for a title; then idk what it’s gonna take for him to stay on this team.

1st paragraph is spot on. It's monotonous but essential. WRs are made by a willingness to work all the time.
