The JoJo thread

There’s an Eminem doc about his obsessed Stans on Paramount Plus right now. Called Stan. There’s a lot of weird people out there. One chick is in the Guinness Book of World Records for having the most tattoos of one person on her; she has dozens of Eminem tattoos on her body. Creepy ****.

Hey @JHallCanes please recommend a moderately-priced, but new bourbon for me to put on my Christmas list. Something I can sip on, but also put in an Old Fashioned. I’ve had all the usual suspects. Thank you, kind sir.
There’s genuinely so many you could get 100 answers to this and they’d all be correct

Two very easy to find and very solid options to me are the Old forester 1910 and the Woodford Double Oaked. You’ll pay $50-60 and you can walk into any liquor store and find them without much trouble. Seems like 90% of the bourbon issue right now is many are hard to find depending on location. I’m in South Carolina and we have Jack **** and if you do find it, it’s absurdly priced

The 1910 and DO are lower proof (90-93) if you like it hotter the Old Forester 1920 can kick your *** a bit

Old fashioned a lot of people use Ryes but for me I’m not too picky

In addition to what @JHallCanes mentioned, a really nice, usually decently priced, and maybe even underrated one would be George ****le Bottled in Bond

What would you consider moderately priced?

Some people’s moderately priced is another person’s expensive. Example, $60-70 is what I would pay for a quality bourbon and consider that moderately priced. Others may think $40 is moderately priced.

Also, I’ve noticed huge price swings depending on state or even particular stores will be $20 more because they feel they can get away with it.
I just mean that I don’t want the cheap stuff, and I don’t want to buy Pappy right now, or even something that’s a couple hundred dollars. But yes, I know what you mean. $40 or $60-70 is all negligible to me for the right stuff.

I should mention that I do already have on the list a bottle of High West’s Midwinter Night’s Dram. I already have some of their stuff but I’ve been wanting to get this one for a while. My husband looked last year but I asked him too late and he couldn’t find it near us. Hoping I get it this year.

I’m not picky about ryes either. I like trying different things, and I never met a bourbon I didn’t like.

All three of these look great though. And I’m in the Atlanta area, so if you can find them up by you, then we should be good here. I am very familiar with the regular Woodford Reserve, but have never had the DO. Looks right my alley.

I’m sure I’ve had Old Forrester too, although I don’t keep it on hand. Both the 1910 and 1920 look great. Something about the 1920 is catching piquing my interest more though.

That looks awesome too! Unfortunately, it looks like it’s not available anywhere in the Atlanta area. What a bummer. ☹️

Edit: Forgot to thank you both for the recommendations! So @JHallCanes and @JamesQuall thank you both for your help! You are both scholars and gentlemen. 🙌🏻

Mario and Dawson are hurting the team. The run blocking is hurting the team. Sir pick a lot is hurting the team. So why choose to just jump on a 19-20 year old kid for his mistakes?
Because he’s hurting the team, that’s why. His technique is lazy and it’s hurting the team.

You didn’t answer the question. Those others I name have a way bigger impact on the team
There is no question to answer, JoJo is clearly checked out and his technique and play has been lazy and that lazy play has led to two humongous drops in back-to-back games and one of those drops cost us the whole game against SMU. Simply put, maybe he just isn’t that good because what I’ve seen on the field, isn’t good enough.

He doesn’t seemed checked out. Seems real engaged with his teammates and cheering for them when they make plays. Y’all coming up with everything in the world but won’t hold more important people who are hurting the team way worse to that same standard

Don’t see him checked out as well. In fact, by all practice reports, it’s the opposite. He hasn’t played much this year so he’s easing into things and working through some cobwebs. Jmo

These dudes have lost their mind. Like the kid hasn’t even played in 4 full games. They hate him because he smokes weed? Lol. They would hate half the team if they knew what these kids be doing

Dude, if you can’t tell, he’s checked out on the field in his technique and intensity, then it’s as clear as Day, You’ve never played this game and there’s no really explaining it to you anymore. One of the main signs of being checked out his lazy technique and his technique is incredibly lazy.

You the only one who thinks he is checked out. Maybe his technique just needs work and it has nothing to do with being lazy or checked out. You reaching hard. Somebody that’s checked out isn’t going to be celebrating their teammates and all engaged in the game when they aren’t on the field. I played and I have coached. You just do t like the kid so you reaching

His technique sucks. Plain and simple. He’s hurting this team and his drop against SMU completely changed that game and is a big reason why we lost. Those are facts, not opinions. It says clear as day he isn’t focused and that’s not gonna get it done.

Mario, dawson, beck, run blocking is hurting the team far worse. That’s not an opinion that’s a fact. Don’t see you saying a word about that tho
