The intensity of the staff on the 2027 class…

I've had a significant thought about the entire approach to this recruiting season and was never sure what thread to share it in. This one seems right.

My thought is that changes are on the horizon in college football and they're coming sooner rather than later. Trump's Executive Order is limiting transfer portal movement. I think we'll see congressional legislation before the end of the 2026 season related to player payments.

Miami and staff know this could be the last year of the unregulated recruiting market and they're loading up on all the elite talent they can. I suspect many of these kids, even the high level young ones who get buried on the depth chart may end up sticking around as they know they'll only get one shot at the portal without having to sit out a year.

This may end up being the perfect year to overspend and attack the recruiting market.

Bro Trump EOs dont mean **** and congress is to tied up to anything n they're not.

I don’t think the approach has changed. The difference is we are landing these elite guys now. They have went after these type guys every year

I'm on the other side of that opinion. Here's Ted Cruz saying that congress will create the legislation as long as the SEC and B1G Ten dont get all uppity.

Im getting greedy now, can we take more than 20?

It feels like there is going to be a high 4/5 that wants in late meaning we take 3-4 more.

Mario just recently said low to mid 20s. Now way in **** he’d ever turn down an elite target regardless of the numbers. We already have an elite class, but I’m anticipating complete domination this season. You’d have to think a couple big targets may reconsider. Especially if there team isn’t on the radar. Real easy for Mario to call a couple of those A&M targets after they drop a couple of games and ask, “u sure u want to team up with big zesty”?
